I have an awful track record with dry shampoos; I can never seem to find the perfect one like some do. I've heard a lot of good things about Batiste's original dry shampoo so I was fairly excited for this sample. The first thing that gets me is smell; if I don't like the smell of a product, I'm less likely to enjoy it. I loved the smell of this dry shampoo. I can't put my finger on what it is exactly but it's a familiar and pleasant scent.
I really like how Batiste incorporated the brown tint into their dry shampoo. My issue with other dry shampoos was always the white residue that would build up on my scalp - luckily, I never had to experience that with this product. I found that it applied nicely and did the trick - it absorbed enough oil to make my hair look and feel much fresher than it did prior to using the product. But over time, I could feel my hair getting heavier and heavier. I feel like maybe I used too much, so I'll have to test that theory again. Other than that, I also found that when I ran my fingers through my hair, some of the dark brown tinted my fingers very slightly. I only noticed this immediately after application, while trying to set my hair, so maybe it has to dry out, but this is definitely something to point out for those who are planning on purchasing/using a product like this - be aware and prepared to have some of that brown residue on your fingers while you're brushing the product in.

Overall, I would say that I was pleased with the product. I'm unsure of whether I'd purchase it again, as I don't frequently use dry shampoos as it is. But after trying, I can definitely say that I would recommend this to a few of my friends who have the same issue with white residue from other dry shampoos, as they would probably love to give this a try.

This product does a decent job at adding volume without making your hair feeling weighed down, however, it did not do a very good job at "cleaning my hair". This dry shampoo did not do much to help absorb the oil on my scalp or even help rid my hair from that dirty, unshowered hair smell. I had pretty high hopes for this products as I heard great things about it, though I was quite disappointed.

On the plus side, I very much enjoyed the fact that this dry shampoo camouflages in with darker coloured hair, unlike the dry shampoos I've used in the past, so this factor definitely gave this product major points!

Conclusively, if you're looking for something to help add volume to your hair, this dry shampoo is for you! If you're looking for additional features such as oil absorption and fragrant scent, I would consider other options.

I loved this product, I used it on both myself and my husbands hair. My husbands hair can get really greasy he works a lot but when I use this on him his hair looked amazing. It work great in my hair too. My only complaint is that the brown came off on my fingers when I was applying it. But it was easily washed off.

I really liked this product. It actually made a difference between hair washings. I will continue to use this product while I am on the rodeo road this season as the shower times are few at the venues.
The smell was fresh, it dried quick and took the greasy look out of the roots of my hair. Very easy application.

As a busy mom I’m already a big fan of dry shampoo and batiste is my go to brand, but since I’ve died my hair darker I have been frustrated with the white chalkiness its regular formula left behind…even once I’ve shaken and brush my hair. Sooooo thrilled with this new formula – not only does it gives me more bounce/thickness it also covers some of my GRAY!

Overall I’m very satisfied with the product, the only little hick is that during the day if you scratch your scalp you will have some brown residue under your nails…and sometimes brown specs call on your cheek or nose. So don’t scratch your scalp!

It works, I'm not sure if it'll rub off on my clothes or furniture. It definitely works much better then white powder/spray....that just makes my hair a weird grey colour that's unpleasant.

I normally just spray just enough at the roots and comb it through a bit ....it also hides a few greys which is nice.

A bottle should last a very long time...I wish it was a smaller bottle. Also since it's aerosol , it's not that travel friendly unless i want to check my luggage.

It worked to make my hair less greasy but I didn't like the tint of color that they add to it.Made my hair look a complete different colour.i would recommend anybody that uses it to do a test first to see if it matches their hair colour.

I am a bit torn with this one, I enjoyed the fact that as a mother of 2 and zero time for myself at times I was able to wisk this into my roots, work it in and off we go! It gave my hair more volume and looked great but on the down side I felt that I had product all over my hands (due to the dark colour of the spray) and it felt like I had about 3 days worth of hair spray and product in there. The smell was great and the packaging is right on key and modern! I find this is an improvement from the other dry shampoos I have used in the past (I think the dark tint has a lot to do with it) and I am still on the fence wether I would indeed purchase this again but will recommend with the same pros and cons to go along with it.

I've always wanted to try a Batista dry shampoo so I was really excited to receive one from Chickadvisor! It's a great dry shampoo - it left my unwashed hair looking clean and fresh. I have naturally blonde hair which is dyed brown so the brown tint was wonderful to hide my light roots & not make my dark hair white. The only thing I didn't like was your hands get brown powder on them when putting the product in your hair. I just rinsed it off but it could be unfortunate to someone in a hurry. Still a great product though!

I have mixed feelings about this shampoo. Did it work... you betcha! i was surprised at how well it worked actually. My hair no longer looked greasy and it bought me an extra 2 days without needing to wash my hair. And with a little one running around those two days are a blessing! What i didn't like about it was the feel. My hair felt ashy and i didnt like how my hands were 'dirty' looking after applying the spray. I totally get the why behind it and having the little bit of dye in the spray makes it easier to mask the grease but i just wasnt liking the feel of it.

Does the good outweigh the bad? in my opinion it does. When you just dont have the time to wash your hair but desperately need to, this dry shampoo will come through. I might actually start adding it to goody baskets i make for new moms because its a nifty little product to have on hand!
