All it did was make my hair more dirty. The white chalky residue was downright gross. My hair is very curly and it took quite a few shampoos before it felt normal again.
I'm totally into not washing my hair everyday and get by with the help of dry shampoo. I've heard so many great things about Batiste dry shampoo that I was thrilled when I finally found it months back. I like having Batiste on hand incase I don't have any other more effective dry shampoos, but sadly this is not my favourite kind. I love the scents, and I've repurchased a number of times, but find after the first 10 minutes I'm already seeing problems with it's staying power. I look for my dry shampoo to soak up some of the greasiness and to add a little volume to my hair. I'm happy with Batiste's ability to make my hair look cleaner (not as clean as other kinds) but my hair tends to go limp quite quickly afterwards, when then can sometimes come off as looking dirty. If you spray to close it can leave a white residue which is not the look I'm going for either!
I've taken to spraying it before bed to eliminate the greasiness and just lightly freshen up with it the following mornings. This seems to work a bit better and is the reason I continue to use and repurchase.
Meh. This product was really hyped up on youtube and I had to try it just to try it, but it really wasn't all that. I found the price to be a bit high when you could just buy the Garnier one for literally $3. This product did leave some residue in my hair as well, I have dark brown hair for reference. Will not be repurchasing.
After hearing so many race reviews about Batiste dry shampoo, I was excited to try it. However I was so let down, the smell was awesome and not overpowering like Dove's dry shampoo, but this dry shampoo made my hair even greasier and oilier than when I had put the dry shampoo on. For me the product just did not work.
I have really really thin hair and oily hair, so for me, this product is not so good. It leave my hair so dry and feeling like having a lot of product in it. Did not like it.
Dry Shampoo. I was never the person to go days and days without washing my hair... until I started chemically processing my hair, and I understood very quickly what the deal was with dry shampoo. It is an absolute necessity for ANYONE, and this is a great affordable product to use.
The hesitation behind my use was the goofy and quite outdated feel of the commercials on tv. If a commercial seems behind on the times, maybe the product will be too. Just a thought for the marketing department. However I overcame that pretty quickly, and I am glad that I did.
I went with the original, as I didnt know how I would feel with tropical smelling hair all day... One thing I noticed is it didnt leave a white film in my hair as some do, I also noticed the amount of volume I had unintentionally got from using this product. I have even started using it as a styling aid, to puff up my fine hair.
Great for after the gym, on days when you are running late, or for a quick refresh style to go from work to a party.
Since gaining me as a customer, maybe they can start putting some of my dollars into better commercials, and print ads.
I've tried a few dry shampoos in the past and Batiste is definitely the best priced brand - it's a lot cheaper than some of the other "fancy" brands. That said, I still wouldn't purchase it again. It has a very strong smell that isn't very pleasant and it really doesn't make my hair feel clean. I tried using it a dew times when I wanted to get out of the house quickly but ended up showering most of the time anyway because I could still feel the oiliness in my hair.
I can't stand this stuff! The smell is overpowering and makes me sneeze. It also makes my hair feel super dry, dulls the colour of my hair, and doesn't really sop up oil all that well, either. Aerosol bottles are also horrible for the environment. Save your money- you'll get better results from baby powder, and won't be killing the planet, too.
My scalp is very greasy, so I have to wash my hair every morning. I used this on a day off work when I wouldn't see many people. It ate up the grease so my hair was fairly dry and had an odd texture. It also had less body than after washing & blow drying. I would use it again for a day of just running errands, but I wouldn't use it on a work day or before social engagements.
