I received this product as a sample to try. I was not greatly impressed with it. It had a very strong scent and left quite a bit of residue in my hair, giving it a grey tone. It worked well as far as making my hair more manageable; but due to the price and the other secondary effects, I likely wouldn't purchase it.
I wish I could change my rating. Since I tried the Batiste dry shampoo, following the manufactures instructions completely, I have been having DIFFICULTY BREATHING. At first, I thought perhaps it was something else. I checked my blood pressure, monitored my pulse, I don't have a cold or the flu. The only thing that I have done differently is try Batiste dry shampoo. It is now the weekend; but, on Monday I will be seeing my doctor to confirm that it was indeed the Batiste dry shampoo that has caused my breathing difficulties. I CAUTION each of you, even if you make sure that you are using Batiste dry shampoo in a well-ventilated area and holding the product at the correct distance, you can have remnants of the product clinging to your clothing, which you or a loved one may breathe in later. Don't chance it!!
I have tried at least a dozen dry shampoos and this one exceeds them by far! Batiste gives volume and texture as well as providing a fresh look (even a few days after shampooing). It is saving my hair one day at a time! Thank you!

I have very thick hair that is quite dry. I don't like to wash it more than twice a week so using a dry shampoo works well for me. I have tried a few different dry shampoo's in the past, but I find that most of them leave a build up at the end of the day. Batiste Dry Shampoo was a refreshing experience! It left my hair feeling light and great smelling. As the day wore on, my hair looked better by the hour. The product went on easily and I was very impressed with the quality. I will definitely be recommending this to friends!
Out of the many dry shampoo's I have tried as a Beauty Blogger and Makeup and Hair care junkie Batiste is defenitly my recommendation.
A bit pricey for a drug store dry shampoo but it's worth the nearly 10$ per bottle.
If it's on sale I most def stock up! The tropical scent is the best and out of all the dry shampoo's this leaves my hair with the least "white" appearence.
I've been using Batiste for years, but never tried the original one in the small can until I had it sent to me as part of the Product Review Club.
It works just as well as the scented ones, but has a light scent, so good for those who are sensitive to smells or don't like walking around smelling tropical or sweet haha (although those scents don't linger very long anyway).
If you don't wash your hair everyday (which you really shouldn't anyway) or like a refresher this product is great for that. Also even for a spritz to get some volume in your hair, Batiste dry shampoo works well for that too.
Just wanted to add to that this size is great for the on the go to throw in your purse.
I recently received the Batiste Dry Shampoo as part of a Chick Advisor campaign and I actually was not terribly impressed. I have dabbled with my fair share of dry shampoos, as I prefer to avoid drying my hair out with frequent washing, and I actually found this one to be less effective than most.
I don't have overly greasy roots but on day 2 or 3, you can definitely tell that I could do with some TLC and that's typically my go-to. I received this on the day following a wash and had done a light workout the night before so I opted to refresh my roots before working out that day and doing a complete wash. I actually found that there was very little difference between the look before and my look afterwards, although it *did* give me a bit more volume. I also really enjoyed the fresh scent of the product but do wish I had been sent a full-sized can for review, as I've got a lot of hair and wish I could have tried this a couple of times before posting. It was gone after my second use.
As you can see by the photos, I've still got what I like to call the "grease parts" that happen when your hair is oily underneath. The dry shampoo didn't take care of those, sadly.
All in all, I wouldn't recommend it.
I was sent a Batiste Dry Shampoo from Chick Advisor to try. I have never used a dry shampoo before this, but I will now after testing this product. My boyfriend had tried another brand a few years ago and it was a fail. This brand and my hair type are a match made in heaven. I have really long thick hair. I tested this after not washing my hair for a week, and it totally refreshed my hair and it felt so clean and I loved the scent it has! Thank you Chick Advisor, I would never had tried, until you sent me one to test!
I received Batiste Dry Shampoo Original Clean & Classic as part of the review club. Thank you so much ChickAdvisor for allowing me to test this product! I had always wanted to try a dry shampoo as I prefer not to wash my hair too often. Batiste dry shampoo is a life-saver! I will definitely keep a can of it around at all times! I have a 6 year old and a 6 month old, and am proud to say I no longer look or feel like a grease monkey when I drop my son off at school, or go to the grocery store! I definitely recommend this product to everyone!
Due to the nature of my hair (thick, unruly, greasy) I always have a dry shampoo on my person, in my desk at work, in my gym bag and in my medicine cabinet. I've truly tried every brand there is, EXCEPT somehow, Batiste. I've heard good things about this brand, that it's the do-all-end-all for dry shampoo, so I was curious to give it a try. (Disclaimer: i received this as part of the Product Review Club)
When it comes to aerosol dry shampoo, I find that a lot of them leave my hair with a strong, chemical 'hair spray' like-scent, but Batiste was surprisingly light in that department. It still had a 'soapy' smell but it faded in about an hour so I didn't feel like it was following me around all day.
I actually don't like dry shampoos that add 'volume' to your hair because I find it just turns into build-up that is really hard to wash out, but Batiste was good in that department too. I put some in my hair in the morning and by later in the day my hair actually looked better than it did in the morning. It absorbed quite well and when I washed my hair that night I didn't have to fight so hard to get it rinsed out.
I think I still prefer powder-based dry shampoos because I can control the amount of product and the distribution on my head (aerosol tends to BLAST with the nozzle) but in a pinch I might grab this again.
I love this stuff! I have used tons of different brands of dry shampoo, and the Batiste brand is the best bang for your buck. It is one of my favourites and is often cheaper than many of the alternatives, and the ones cheaper than this one do not work as well.
It doesn't leave a chalky look or texture to your hair, just revamps it and makes it look cleaner. It also doesn't smell too strong, though some of the other scents (like the "Wild" one) are a little overpowering. They also make a travel size which I love and carry around in my purse for midday touch-ups.
