I received this product free to sample from chick advisor. I have used dry shampoo's in the past that I prefer over this one. First let me explain my hair situation. Its oily. I cannot go more than 2 days without washing. First day hair is good to be put down - but second hair day is gross and has to be put up. So I thought with this dry shampoo I could go second day with hair down. No. Still greasy and disgusting looking. I think this product would work better for someone that doesn't have overly greasy/oily hair and just needs a volume/scent boost in between washes. Would not repurchase for myself. Lush has a really great dry shampoo that I still consider my favorite - even though my hair still is somewhat greasy after, it's better than this brand for me.

The only good thing that I can say about this product is that the smell is fantastic! However, with this in mind, it's almost like the smell was added in to help us not notice how terrible the actual product is.

The added Brunette colouring just seemed to add an extra bit of chalky-ness to the already dry product and did nothing for adding any vibrant look to my hair, in fact, it almost appeared to add a dull look to my hair.

I found that the spray didn't do a thing for the roots and ended up leaving it very oily, so it's as if it served no purpose whatsoever. Throughout the day I also noticed how the end of my hair was progressively getting more and more dry...I never have dry ends so I can only contribute this back to this product having some weird chemical in it that is causing this.

I can honestly say that halfway through my day, I ended up opting to just put my hair up as it felt gross and made me very self conscious!

My overall review of this is to skip this product altogether and either just wash your hair quickly, or put it up if you want to skip a wash.

I've used Batiste products before, they are one of the best dry shampoos out there. It was my first time trying "Beautiful Brunette" and I really liked the brown tint in the spray. The spray was not sticky or greasy even with the added color.

I have to say that out of all the dry shampoos I have tried this is one I keep going back to. The subtle hint of brown colouring helps my hair as some give such a chalky white it takes almost forever to get it to even out. This I just apply, let it sit and do its thing, then massage in. It absorbs a lot of my oils which is great for when you put your hair up only to realize you have some oily roots and not enough time to wash your hair. Haha.

I really enjoyed Batiste beautiful brunette. The hint of color helped mask that I used dry shampoo. I have fine hair and it gave it texture. My hair looked freash and looked great. It made my next day hair due work out better then expected. Ive used dry shampoo before and Batiste has been the best so far. This will be on my shopping list. I was excited to tell my family and friends about Batiste Beautiful Brunette and that it is a awesome product.

I have to laugh at those that love the smell of this Dry Shampoo. I suppose they like sniffing chemicals. Because that's the strong smell that stayed in my hair ALL DAY! All day! Seriously. I could not wait to wash it out.

I hated the texture it gave my hair. It also made my hair look super dull, lifeless and gave it a faint gray cast. I'm 28, I don't have that many grays yet! I had to give an extensive wash to my hairbrush as well since it made the bristles all gross and powdery.

It is so much easier and faster to just dunk my head in the sink and blow dry my hair afterward. Trying to get this dry shampoo out I felt like I was in the shower for an hour just washing my hair. It took one rinse of my favourite dandruff shampoo and TWO rinses of a clarifying shampoo. And then I used some good conditioner afterward because I'm sure my hair was super dry after all that abuse.

So thanks again Chick Advisor for giving me this opportunity to realize I will never be on the market for a dry shampoo.

This is my new favorite dry shampoo! i got it to try and i am so in love, i only really tried 3-4 brands but I bought batiste xxl volume twice now and this was my first time trying the brunette one and it is so good, it does not completely go on dark but it does work much better than the white cans of dry shampoo, i find if you spray it too close which i know you shouldnt but sometimes it just happens then that is when you can tell it still is a bit white but when you use it properly it works very good and dont have to blend in the dry shampoo as much. I also found that with the xxl volume i would have to wash my hair the next day cause it added so much volume that it would make my hair stay how it was while sleeping lol this brunette one isnt as bad for that i got to still keep my hair unwashed the next day without having it bother me

This product was very exciting to get. I was unsure at first but after using it, I agree with most people.. it is a very effective product. And I would recommend it!

So this is a mixed review, since it DOES do it's intended purpose I have to say yes it works. The con is that because batiste brunette has a hint of color for the darker beaus, it can stain your scalp and hands of you tend to run your hands through your hair. The pro is that the smell is really an amazing scent, alone as a hair perfume it would be a great product! It gave my thick hair some lift but it did not last all night. I will have to try the xml batiste next.

I absolutely love this dry shampoo !! It's the first dry shampoo I'v used that doesn't leave my hair with a white powdery residue. I also don't mind the smell which is a bonus.
