Loved it but now not so much

I've been buying Batiste Dry Shampoo Beautiful Brunette for quite some time now to use on my roots when I need a little refresh. I really like the way it smells and I love that it's coloured, which makes it easier to blend. However lately, I find that it makes my hair feel hay like and I'm wondering if it is the culprit of my itchy scalp. Also, I really dislike the fact that if I touch my hair, the colour dirties my hands and fingernails.

I was thrilled to receive the Batiste Dry Shampoo PLUS Beautiful Brunette as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club.

I've heard a lot about dry shampoo, and with my very frizzy hair, it was something that I was most certainly looking forward to trying out. With the type of hair I have, the only way I can wear it down is if it's been freshly wet - that way I can put product in it and it curls nicely. Outside of these specifications, it's basically a curly mess.

While I was hoping that a product like this would help my hair woes, this is not the one for me. Firstly, the smell was incredibly overwhelming. Not only to me, but to everyone around me when I wore this product. I'm certainly not a "scenty" person, but can tolerate a little. This extreme odour was just over the top! Secondly, I expected this product to come as a powder, rather than a spray can under pressure. I've been avoiding these types of packaging due to their negative environmental consequences. Lastly, I found that the product did little to improve the look of my hair. I didn't like the colour in it, and it felt it leaving exactly the same.

While I really appreciated the chance to try this product, this one certainly is not the one for me.

I never received my sample so I can't really review this. I have tried other batiste dry shampoos that left a white looking powder in my hair, but it does do what it is supposed to. I was really looking forward to trying the brunette shampoo to see how well it would blend with my hair color. Maybe I shall receive it soon!

I don't feel that this is meant for curly hair. I couldn't comb it through and my hair felt pretty gross. Maybe if I had straight hair it would work better.

This was my first time trying dry shampoo, thanks to ChickAdvisor and their #trybatiste campaign. The product wasn't horrible, just not for me. It had a strong scent, not necessarily a bad one, but it did persist all day! When sprayed in, it gave my hair kind of a gray-ish tint. The gray disappeared when I brushed it through. This is a problem for me because I have naturally curly hair and never brush it dry. So the only time this product may be beneficial to me is when I straighten my hair. I will probably use the rest of the product when my hair is straight, just because I already have it, but I would never buy it.

This was not my favourite product. I didn't love the smell - I found it a bit strong, and I could smell it on my hair after I used it. I also don't love the colour aspect - I don't like the mess it makes when I spray it on. I would be interested in trying this product without the colour in it to see if I like it better.

I received this product free to sample from chick advisor. I have used dry shampoo's in the past that I prefer over this one. First let me explain my hair situation. Its oily. I cannot go more than 2 days without washing. First day hair is good to be put down - but second hair day is gross and has to be put up. So I thought with this dry shampoo I could go second day with hair down. No. Still greasy and disgusting looking. I think this product would work better for someone that doesn't have overly greasy/oily hair and just needs a volume/scent boost in between washes. Would not repurchase for myself. Lush has a really great dry shampoo that I still consider my favorite - even though my hair still is somewhat greasy after, it's better than this brand for me.

I've received this product for free from chick advisor. Even though I've had it for 2 weeks now, Ive only used it once (so far). I found the smell and textured ok, but the brown didn't really match my hair colour, and I didn't really notice a difference in the look or feel of my hair after using it. Granted, ive only used it the one time, maybe as my hair colour fades a little, it will be a better match. Will update my review of my opinion of the product changes.

I was given the opportunity to #tryBatiste and #gotitfree. I tried the Beautiful Brunette dry shampoo by Batiste. It was ok.

As a mother of very young twin baby boys I've quickly learned that showers are now a luxury, not a right. Unfortunately I usually have to go a couple of days without a shower so if I can find some good hacks to extend the life of my hair I'm down to give it a whirl.
Unfortunately this dry shampoo isn't for me. I have natural brown hair so the fact that this dry shampoo has a touch of colour in it didn't really benefit me. It also somehow still managed to dry and look a bit powdery in my roots despite using only a little bit and after massaging the dry shampoo into my hair as recommended on the bottle.

The scent isn't very nice but it dissipates fairly quickly.
Some people love dry shampoo and rely on it and if you're one of those people this is worth a try for you. Unfortunately for me, my hair has a natural shine to it and this dry shampoo dulls that making it look worse than it does when it's been 2 days without a wash.
