I love Batiste dry shampoo. I normally go with the dry shampoo specifically for darker hair. It really works wonders and it's a bonus that it adds volume. I picked this one up the other day because my drugstore was out of my go to. It saddens me to say this because I love Batiste so much, but I didn't find this as effective as some of the others I've tried. It left white patches in my hair, even when I brushed through it. It did give me volume but it added excessive tangles in my hair. I would not recommend this specific product, but I would recommend other dry shampoos by Batiste.
Batiste Dry Shampoo PLUS: Heavenly Volume is honestly my favourite dry shampoo.
I've tried powder vs. spray dry shampoos, and by far I prefer the spray type because it is easier to apply and the powders often require a lot of combing through the hair to ensure there's no white powder showing on my crown.
Honestly, Batiste Dry Shampoo is my favourite because
1) Smells Great
2) Takes away the nasty oil near the roots
3) Great volume added to my hair - perfect for going out without teasing my hair
4) Does not dry "hard" on the hair and looks natural
Definitely will purchase this product in the future and I already recommended it to my friends.
Despite the fact that I #gotitfree I 100% intend to pay for it in the future when my current bottle runs out.
I normally pick up the Batiste original dry shampoo but on a whim purchased the heavenly volume. It has a wonderful smell and most definitely works to remove signs of oil at the roots and boost volume at the roots. That being said, every time i've used this product i've ended up with large white patches of residue...brushing through the hair won't even dissipate it. It also seems to be like a strong hold hairspray in that it really nats/tangles my hair. After using this I always have to wash my hair at the end of the day, (it cannot be used two days in a row) because my hair becomes stiff, tangled and unmanageable.
I will have to go back to using the original, but i'd also like to try the one for brown hair too.
If you want BIG hair, this is the one for you. I do not like to wash my hair more than 2 times a week to prevent my colour from fading (I have blue in my hair) so I resort to dry shampoo. The only draw back is it can leave white powdery residue, make sure you comb it through or rough your hair up at the cuticle so its not visible. You do end up with unbelievable volume and a pleasant scent.
