I live off dry shampoo and have tried many brands, from low to high end. I definitely notice the added volume effect of this dry shampoo! I apply at roots only and blend and voila, big sexy hair! Bye bye greasy flat hair!
The Batiste XXL volumizing dry shampoo definitely absorbs oil in the hair VERY well and helps me avoid hair washing for days on end. It's especially awesome for updo's - if you really want that extra lift. The scent is awesome and I got my bottle at Winners for under $6!
Having tried MANY dry shampoos on the market (Bumble and Bumble, Oscar Blandi, Tresemme), I find the Batiste dry shampoo to be good performance, however I did notice a few qualities about this product that will hinder my re-purchase.
1. The product leaves fine hair sticky- almost as if you used a light hold hairspray
2. The product DEFINITELY shows on darker hair (even when brushed out and dispersed evenly)
3. The product has a dusty appearance on black hair
Ultimately, if you are thinking about trying this product, please ensure that you have lighter hair with strands that are not too fine and I'm sure you'll love it.
After using several good but expensive dry hair shampoos, a consultant suggested I try this "because the manager in the hair salon swears by it". I love it. Works as well or better than Kenra, Big Sexy Hair, but it costs a lot less. Well worth giving it a try. No greasy feel or look and the volume is amazing
I have used several different types/brands of dry shampoo. I like to use them to freshen up my roots from time to time. They all create a more thick feel to the hair. They are great to use to add texture the hair & hold for up-do's etc. That being said this product is no better/no worse than others. If it's on sale I would buy it to have but no great advantage over other brands for less dollars.
Was excited to try since I have very fine hair. I had higher hopes for this product so was quite disappointed. It works great just like the other batiste products, other than that I don't see other added effects in terms of added volume
My cousin left her can behind when she was visiting from UK. I use it sparingly only after a hot gym workout and have no time for shower. I have tried others in between as I try to find a replacement but this is the only one I don't see residue or feel itchy next day so it lasts about 2 more days before I need to wash it out.
The only brand I use. Absolutely love it. Definitely adds volume to my thin hair. Have never head a problem with spray nozzle, like other brands I have used in the past. This is a keeper!
This particular brand of dry shampoo is great for when you need to play with your hair a lot. If I want to straighten it or put it up, I put use this one and then my hair doesn't get all greasy after the heat is applied. It gives so much volume that I don't like to use it for a regular freshening, but I would never go without this one. It also helps if you're trying to grow out your hair. It makes it stick together nicely to put up without the use of a million Bobby pins
I find that with this and most other dry shampoos like it the white residue it leaves behind
It's not as noticable on the hair especially blond hair however look at the base of your brush when you run it through your hair. Its disgusting so if I didn't need to wash hair on Day 1sure must on Day 2. Cheaper and same results can be accomplished by using the age old baby powder. Which in addition will keep more of those hard working dollars in your wallet.
