There is something special about this makeup sponge that makes it ideal for application and blending of liquid and creams. I have tried other "dupes" and it's not that they don't apply my makeup well, but I do think that the Beauty Blender is kind of the pinnacle of makeup sponges. It is super durable and doesn't absorb as much product as other sponges on the market. It is really soft and feels lighter and a touch less dense than others and it just makes application and blending SO easy and flawless. As much as I would love an inexpensive dupe, I will keep repurchasing this because I find that others do not compare in their quality! Out of curiosity, I cut my old Beauty Blender in half to see if there was foundation in the core or some kind of dirt, but no- nothing. Completely clean, bright pink like new, and the product was contained to the very very outer layer of the sponge. I clean mine with a mixture of oil (jojoba, avocado, coconut... whatever I have on hand) and mild dish soap and it works like a dream! Next time I'll buy the solid bar BeautyBlender sells to compare.

I don't think this even needs any explanation. It is the best and you should just stop buying any other sponges and buy this one. I started with a beauty blender then moved to a cheaper knock off and it's not the same. The beauty blender is soft and feels like it's bouncing off your face, it just feels natural. Blends the foundation right into your skin and makes it look flawless.

I don't use a brush anymore even since I got one of these 5 years ago. I absolutely cannot do my makeup with this. It's the most practical way for me to apply my foundation/concealer/cream bronzer. It leaves my skin looking FLAWLESS. Just soak it in water and ring it out a few times. Don't completely dry it, it works amazingly when it's still very wet. Cleaning is very easy to with the beauty blender solid cleanser!!

I was skeptical of the beauty blender and even bought a knock off. Then I got one in a subscription box and it changed my life. It applies foundation beautifully and blends blush, highlighter, and eyeshadow better than anything I've ever used. Only complaint is the pink one sheds dye for first few uses when washed so I recommend a nude one.

This sponge has really changed foundation for me. It takes so little time to do my foundation and concealer. You can even use it to apply powder. It's super versatile and has many different uses.

Beauty blenders are amazing. They change the way you apply foundation and have a flawless finish each time you use it. Everyone should have a beauty blender, or at least a dupe of one!

First off, the beauty blender is extremely pricey. Not sure if the knock offs work just as well or not... But the beauty blender works great for applying foundation and blending. I got mine in a set. Not sure I'd pay full price for it! If you haven't tried it and you're curious at least give it a try for yourself. I try to clean it every few times I use it. But realistically it should be cleaned each time... If you're lazy like me then disposable sponges might be better. But a reusable one is better for the environment and apparently better quality.

For a blender it's great! But the price is insane! I personally like to throw out my sponges every couple uses, and I don't find this to be realistic for my budget! But works good!

I admit, I was skeptical but kept seeing the Beauty Blender pop on on MakeUp blogs. I watched a few youtube videos and decided to pay the hefty price of $28 for a makeup sponge. I never use brushes to apply my foundation..just find it takes way too long for me to blend it in. I would just go to the dollar store and buy a bag full of $2 makeup sponges. Not any more. For a year I have been buying the beauty blender and it's completely changed my makeup routine. I LOVE this product --my only regret is not buying it sooner. All you do is wet the sponge and apply your foundation and/or concealer. It's so fast and easy and blends super well. I change sponges about every 2 and a half months. The key here is to wash your sponge after EVERY use. I just run mine under hot water and use cetaphil face wash to clean it. Let it air dry and then your good to go for next time. I have no idea if the $5-6 'knock-off' beauty blenders work just as well as the original..but stay tuned. I bought one to see and will be trying it out once my current one starts breaking down.
