I pan-fry with it I use it to fry potatos, even eggs. Just let it melt slowly, then put in the food that you want to fry. If you're worried about splattering, put a lid on the pan.
I'm a big fan of Becel as an alternative to butter. I do think it's the very best margarine on the market. However, this salt free version does NOT work for me. The key ingredient to good taste in food is salt, and with it removed, this tastes bland and unnatural. Go with one of the other Becel types unless it's mandatory for health reasons to cut salt completely out.
Margarine just makes everything taste better. I love using it as a substitute for oil. This Becel Salt-Free one is even better without the salt, less guilty pleasure! Love it.
