Surprisingly Wonderful!!!
I was a little hesitant as I am very used to using butter for everything.
The flavor of this product was really good. Used it for baking and frying and could not tell the difference. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to eliminate dairy.
Great for baking
I first used the Becel plant based brick to make rice crispy treats. They turned out well but the family could tell it wasn’t butter. I then moved on to chocolate chip cookies and brownies. They tasted ah-ma-zing! This product worked great. It melted well and creamed well. It functioned exactly like butter. I love that I have found a plant based alternative for butter to use in my baking but when a strong butter flavour is preferred I will stick to the real thing. I will definitely be purchasing again though
Great taste, Easy to Use - Not Healthy!!
I had reservations of Becel Plant based Bricks because I have always liked the taste and texture that traditional butter provides, and didn't know what to expect from the plant based option.. However I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of using Becel Unsalted plant based bricks in my baking. This is great news for my Plant Based, Vegan friends - more treats I can share with you!
These Becel sticks are definitely convenient. The pre-measured 1/2 cup sticks make baking easier and faster. I especially enjoyed how they don’t need to be softened from the fridge before using in baking. These sticks replace butter in any recipe that I've tried so far.
The only reservation and likely reason I won't buy it too often is the amount of Palm oil in them. It's such a high ratio of saturated fat - not sure healthy. This is the only reservation I have about this product.
Decue
Jai recue un coupon a échangé pour ce produit! Moi et ma famille n avons pas aimé le gout malheureusement! C e nest pas un produit que ja vais rachèter :/
Good plant-based alternative to butter
Becel Plant-Based Bricks are a good alternative to traditional butter. The brick taste quite similar to butter - a little less rich and creamy, but otherwise not too different. When baking, it doesn’t affect the flavour too much. However, if you are making flaky baked goods, than the bricks aren’t as good as butter because the bricks have a lower melting point. It works well for things like cookies though. Overall, it’s a good product if you’re looking to replace butter with a plant-based product. #gotitfree #familyrated
Taste like butter but it’s plant based
I got the becel salted plant based butter for free in a coupon from chickadvisor. Taste like butter but it’s plant based Which is amazing It goes well with toast or can be used with baking and everyday cooking!
Looks and Acts Just Like Butter
I would buy this product again. It looks and actions just like butter. I used it to make mashed potatoes, and it tasted the same. No one was able to tell that I used something different.
Becel Salted Plant-Based Bricks
I absolutely love Becel Plant Based Brick! My son and grandson are both lactose intolerant so using butter with them around is a big no no, but Becel was the perfect choice. I love the fact that it is softer so I don't have to wait for it to warm up to use, it spreads easily on bread. As for taste it is pretty good doesn't taste exactly like butter but pretty darn close. I would definitely buy again.(This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
Just buy butter
I tried this product and upon reading the ingredient list, you are better off just buying real butter or using canola oil. It is a good thought, however it just plays into the "plant based" niche right now. It had a chemical taste to it and didn't have the "melted butter" look on toast. I used it to make scones and they turned out alright. I don't think anyone would notice
