dairy free!
So happy to have found dairy free ice cream. The flavours are there, the brownie pieces, cookie dough pieces all there. The texture is of actual ice cream. I would only buy this when on sale.
Extra chocolatiey
As someone living with a lactose intolerant human let me tell you... the struggle to find good ice cream that is dairy free for them is extremely real!!
Great thanks have to be given to these guys for not only creating dairy free options that keep my spoilt human happy... but also for creating Amazing flavours that keep him coming back for more!
His two favourite snacks? Chocolate and peanut butter... combine those into a chilly treat and he’s happy! What keeps my human happy... keeps me happy
Surprisingly creamy
I received a coupon to redeem this product for free. This non-dairy ice cream was surprisingly creamy, which I wasn't expecting. Perfect treat for those who don't or can't consume dairy! The only downside was that it was hard to find this product for purchase at my usual grocery store locations, but otherwise, a yummy treat! I'd love to try different flavours to find my favourite. Recommend!
Delicious but expensive
I love this flavour! It's packed with peanut butter and other bits, which meas it's also packed with flavour. In some bites you can tell that it's non-dairy ice cream as the ice cream itself is a little bland, but in my opinion, all the things it's packed with make up for that. My only issue with this product is that it's so expensive - because of this, I probably won't buy it. If you can spend CAD$7.99 on a tiny tub of ice cream though, it does taste great so I'd recommend it!
The more you eat, the better it tastes
Okay, before anything about the product itself, it was so difficult to track this down..! And I live in Toronto! But I eventually found it where I least expected to. It was on sale though, so I didn't get the bang for the buck.
First, this product really, REALLY freezes.. Like, solid. I had to put it on the counter and wait for it to soften a bit to avoid bending or breaking my spoons. This is much different than the B&J;'s dairy options, but if you take a peak at the ingredients, it makes sense. It's basically frozen peanut butter. If it weren't for all the yummy chocolate in it, I'm sure my pug doggo Kiwi would love it. It's similar to homemade frozen treats for pups.
My initial reaction once I got it in my mouth? Not impressed. It tasted bland, it wasn't creamy at all, and I just expected more.. But I guess that's because I was expecting ice cream. This isn't ice cream. I had to change my expectations.
I have no impulse control. I eat things that aren't good for me, that I don't love, just because I'm craving sugar or chocolate. And thus is the story of how I realized it tastes better in the middle of the tub. Keep eating!

Great quality and great taste, however that comes at a price
Tried this product and for a dairy free option which so many people need these days I was very impressed. The flavour was not compromised by it being non dairy. The price of this product is a little high however that comes with this brand, and to get a good quality product, especially if you have any dietary restrictions. I would definitely reccomend this to dairy free people!
A perfect alternative for my children!
We recently eliminated a lot of dairy in the household and, for my husband, icecream is a dealbreaker. There's no possible way he was going to give up his nighttime treat UNTIL we discovered Ben and Jerry's Non Dairy. It's delicious, smooth, creamy and comes in at the same pricepoint as comparible dairy brands. I can't wait to try this entire line up and I'm happy to be able to keep icecream in the house. The only downfall, for me personally, is that I'm hoping to see an ORGANIC line because nuts, soy or anything else that could be used for a base isn't ideal if it's GMO or full of pesticides. Work on that, my business will be yours for life Ben & Jerry's!
Nice Alternative
I had a hard time finding Ben & Jerry’s non dairy in a store near me. Luckily as suggested I found it at Shoppers Drug Mart
I was pleasantly surprised the texture was pretty spot on to traditional dairy ice cream (as others said maybe a tiny bit firmer but that’s okay by me)
The flavor was pretty good and as expected some bites I could taste the almond a little more than others. Not a bad thing given it’s dairy free! I’d be interested in trying other flavours and sharing with the few people in my life with dairy allergies- I think they’ll love it.

surprisingly good
I love ice cream so I was very excited to be selected for this trail.
I was pleasantly surprised with the peanut butter half baked.
There wasn't a difference in taste or consistently with it being non-dairy which I was very pleased with.
A healthier alternative
I redeemed my free coupon for the dairy free half baked peanut butter ice cream. I hadn’t tried any substitute ice creams previously so this was definitely an experience. I found the consistancy very similar to standard ice cream, though it seemed a slight bit harder and thicker to scoop. The texture was slightly grainier but I couldn’t tell if this was a difference between the dairy free and regular or just Ben and Jerry’s itself. The flavour was nice and not too sweet. Overall it’s not my favourite out of flavours and textures of ice cream (i’m mainly happy that I couldn’t taste just almond as that’s what it was made with) but it would definitely do the trick if you have certain sensitivies.
