These cream shadows do not work any better than my Revlon cream shadows, or even my Wet n Wild, NYX or Rimmel fat shadow sticks. All of which are FAR cheaper than these cream shadows. Another Benefit product which is all hype and marketing. Women are paying for nothing but Benefit's packaging, which really burns my backside.
If they were priced far lower, then I could give them a higher rating. But for the outrageous tag on them, not to mention the ingredients which are far from stellar, these are not worth a cent. Especially with drug store brands which out-perform them.
Normally, my eyeshadows tend to crease, but this product does a great job staying on. The colors are great, and I am very impressed by how easy it is to use and apply. Cute packaging too!
I won this product in a Benefit gift basket, and it has since become a favourite. You can change the intensity of the colour by applying it thin or layering, which makes it a nice option for the workplace and after work get togethers. The colour is a great steely grey, with a hint of shimmer, adult enough for the office. I like to add a nice thick black winger eye for evenings out. I have brown eyes, and the colour looks great, very smokey, definitely my favourite colour in the line!
The shadow lasts all day, and doesn't crease, which is an added bonus. Also, no running/smearing throughout the day.
This is an absolutely creamy and silky feeling cream eyeshadow. I use Recess as an undereye base for my colored powder eyeshadows. It is easily blendable and does not crease. I think that it works way better than MAC's paintpots, and the colors that are available are more universally flattering. I have had my pot for almost a year and use it almost everyday, and there is still a lot left. A thin layer is all you need to keep your eyeshadows crease-free. This is definitely a must get.
Early mornings means my makeup needs to be easy, quick and flawless. I have a few of Benefit's line of creaseless shadow/liners and Strut is definitely a must-have! They are highly pigmented and blend easily onto the eye. I never have a problem with them creasing. I love that you can use them as a liner or as a shadow. Strut is a grey with a bluish undertone. Smudge into the lash line for a subtle smudgy finish or use for a smokey eye that is quick and easy. All I do is take a smudging brush and apply from lash line to crease making sure to blend, blend, blend! You can also layer these shadow/liners underneath a powder shadow - very versatile!
I bought this in New York when I was walking around in Bloomingdales with no makeup on and a woman working at the Benefit counter waived me over to fix that. She started just helping me with my bags, which was kind, but it soon became a full make over. She asked what I liked and I told her to just do her thing. I'm glad I took that leap of faith.
This is what she used on my eyes. It's very similar to M.A.C.'s delphic fluid liner in that it is a little pot with a soft cream based liner/shadow that is applied with a brush. It's the perfect denim colour and looks amazing when rimmed all around the eyes and blended for a smokey look. My eyes are blue and so this navy/grey colour makes them look almost aqua. She finished by applying black liner all around at the base of the lashes to make the eyes really pop. I surprised how good it looked and how easy it was to apply.
This product is designed not to crease, flake, smudge, etc. I have oily skin and my eyelids do tend to crease without a primer. I find that this does fairly well without a primer, but when you first apply it, you may find it creases a little bit. Once it is on, it will stay put all day. It can be blended with other eye shadows or used on it's own for a sexy smokey liner. I've been using this every day since I got it and I can't get enough. It was definitely worth the $19 USD.
The price is a tad bit expensive but I find it worth it.
I don't use a primer or base with these gorgeous colors and they NEVER crease on me!!
They truly are creaseless! I own gossip and honey bunny. The colors are not eye poping but more on the neutral sides. They are perfect for subdued daytime colors.
Benefit Creaseless Cream in Pre Nup is a limited edition line that works as a eyeshadow base. As a first time Benefit user, I am really pleased with the application on the product. The texture is smooth and creamy on the eyes, but doesn't leave a clump. It blends really great and its super convenient for those who don't want to deal with loose eyeshadow powder. The Pre Nup is a pink sheer tone that goes well with or without any eyeshadow. Its subtle pink undertone makes it a great day wear whether you're going shopping or work. The best part of it is that its creaseless, so no more crazy muck!
