Not impressed

I really wanted to like this highlighter but, unfortunately, it didn’t leave up to my expectations. I have uneven skin texture and this product tends to exaggerate it. And I didn’t really like the pink undertone of it, it didn’t look nice on my olive skin.

Works better as a base

Highlight is very easy to blend, but quite sheer for my liking. Looks really nice when played with powder highlighters! Has dupes in the drugstore though,

This product seems nice at first, but when you actually blend it out on your cheek it is an obvious streak of where it was applied. I have tried many different ways to apply this. The most effective is if you use a beauty sponge, but it has to be on clean skin. If there is foundation under, the High Beam will lift off the coverage of foundation and make it look blotchy. Honestly there are drug store versions of liquid highlighters that perform better than this. Would only recommend to people wearing it alone with no other face makeup.

Haha, I remember when I first used this. Please use any highlighter sparingly! A little bit of product really goes a long way. I highlight my cheekbones, nose bridge and cupid's bow and then blend away. In low lights the product with appear almost invisible with a shimmer. I was a but disappointed that the pearlized pink in color doesn't show up. I feel the product is a bit outside of by budget.

another benefit product not worth the money. this is a very pretty color and really is a legitimate highlighter, but it's nothing spectacular, especially not for $28. e.l.f.'s highlighters are only $1 and pretty comparable, unfortunately (although the packaging is crap).

I have used a number of highlighting products in the last few months. This one is the lightest, and while expensive, will probably last the longest since a little goes a long way. It is great to highlight around the eye area and at the cupid's bow of the lip - I think it makes you look instantly more awake and is a great lift for tired eyes. The luminescence is subtle enough that it can be used for daytime wear at the office.
