Such a waste of money! Yes, I agree with the other reviewers that the name is extremely misleading. It doesn't change the apprearance of the lips, apart from acting more like a gloss/balm.
Although Benefit isn't a drug store brand and can be expensive - you definitely get what you are paying for! This product doesn't sting like lip venom, but it produces comparable results! I always feel like I just had lip injections after I apply this - my lips are super supple and sexy!
I agree that the label "lip plump" can be misleading. When I first tried it, I thought it was going to sting my lips and have a glossy finish like most lip plumpers. This product does plump the lips but not in the way you're used to. The texture is almost like a concealer for the lips. It helps smooth fine lines and builds the shape of your lips giving the illusion of fuller lips. It's an excellent lip primer and keeps your lip colour on all day without over drying lips. Follow the instructions - only 2 dabs per lip. If you put too much it can alter the colour of lip product. Make sure you let it dry completely before applying your lipstick. I found this was also great for women who have naturally pigmented lips and want to wear more nude or softer colours.
Lip Plump has a slightly misleading name. It is not meant to plump your lips like many lip plumping glosses are designed to do (the kind that tingle and sting). Instead it fills in the lines on your lips and acts as a primer for lip colour. I must say it did a fantastic job as a primer and my lips did look full and healthy. I think it made my lip colour slide slightly and would have preferred it to bind to the colour a little bit better, but it did do what it promised.
I was very dissappointed with this product, which was worse since I love the Benefit line. It's not a plumper at all but a primer that does not make your lips fuller. Total rip-off.
This does not make your lips swell, but it does fill them in making them look bigger. It is great to put on let dry as a base and during the day I just add gloss. At night I apply lipstick over top.
Lippulmp is the one product I cannot leave home without (and lip gloss). It doesnt give that tingly uncomfortable feeling, and not even a shine ( for those looking for a matte color) It goes on beige. I usually put it on..wait for it to dry, add lip liner to the outer part of my lips..then lip gloss..and voila! Beautifull sexy lips :) Love it love it love it!!
