Too thick
Really dislike this primer. I am not sure if I received a bad batch but it is just way too thick. It makes my makeup look cakey and is difficult to blend my makeup over top of. My skin looks dry and it emphasizes any fine lines on my skin.
I had heard such good things about this product and normally i am all over anything benefit puts out so i was excited to try this shadow primer. to my dismay even though it did cover nice and looked great to start. my shadow creased and did not stay and my concealer looked cakey. this may work well for teens but if you have so much as 1 line or wrinkle this will make them stand out.
I usually use the urban decay primer but I thought I would try something new and this was not a good choice. It seemed to be ok at first but after awhile it didn't work at all. My shadow creased like crazy it wouldn't even last the day when I have tried urban decay and too faced and both I can sleep in my makeup and it's still on good. Maybe the formula doesn't work with me and maybe other people like this primer but I would not re purchase this or finish the one I have
This overall was pretty good. I received this as a sample from Sephora otherwise I probably wouldn't have tried it or purchased it. It seemed to keep my eye shadow in place all night, however if you have a high quality eye shadow I don't feel that this product makes a huge difference.
I always have a problem with oily eyelids, and I tried this product for awhile but it never kept eyeshadow on my lid as much as it should've for the price. It's better than nothing, but if you have oily lids like me, it won't work as well. On the flipside, it's a decent spot concealer so it isn't completely useless to me at this point, but I wouldn't recommend getting it if you have the same issues with eyelids as I do.
This product works fairly well, but it soon separates in the container. It pumps out a clear liquid and the tinted part at the same time that you have to mix back together. Really cheapens the product and more of what I would expect from a generic line, not a prestige line.
Benefit's "Stay Don't Stray" is a creamy eyeshadow and undereye concealer primer. It claims to help eyeshadows and concealer stay put for hours on end, preventing creasing and fading of color. You get 10 ml of product for approximately $25 and the bottle is equipped with a pump. I thought the pump was going to be a good thing, but it tends to dispense more product than I need, therefore wasting primer. I would have preferred a sponge tip applicator.
As for the primer itself, it comes out as a pigmented cream, however, this blends in well with your skin. I thought it could double as a concealer, but the tiny veins on my eyelids were still visible. The primer isn't too tacky, so I do like how it absorbs into the skin.
I am very torn with my views concerning this primer. It does do it's job at keeping eyeshadows on for hours and I did not see any creasing whatsoever. However, as an undereye concealer primer, I did not feel it did a great job. My concealer still ended up migrating after a few hours and I noticed creasing in the fine lines under my eyes as well as build up at the outer corners of my eyes, due to the shifting concealer.
Considering the price of the product and the fact that it does not do everything it claims, I don't think I will be purchasing this again. I will only be using this on my eyelids from now on.
I feel tricked and ripped off from this product. The pump gives you about 5 times the amount you need. So, I guess I will use this up 5 times as fast.
Over all, the product works well, but I can't get past the packaging.
