I don't mind paying extra for this!
Unfortunately I am not one of those girls who was blessed with flawless skin. I have acne scars and large pores that make it hard to apply my makeup evenly. Pore perfect has really helped me be able to do that. It doesn't cover anything very well on it's own but it creates an even surface for me to apply my foundation on.
Keeps my makeup matte
I recently started using this as a primer for the summer as I get really shiny quickly when it's hot out. I like that it smooths out my pores and give me an even surface to apply my makeup on top of. It does help to keep my makeup looking matte for longer than other primers. Even though it seems expensive for a small container, I do find a little goes a long way!
Not for my super oily skin
I had high hopes for this, as I hear everyone talking about how much they love this primer. I love how smooth is goes on and how soft it makes my skin feel, but because I have extremely oily skin, I found my foundation would just slip around due to the silicone in this. This would be perfect for other skin types as it really does look amazing.
Wow!
I received a sample in the mail and it was sample-sized, but it sure did the trick! Creamy and worked as a great primer. The only problem is the price, I looked it up and it was really expensive. Though I love this primer, I definitely cannot afford to buy another one.
Decent primer
I recently got this primer from Shoppers Drug Mart. First off, its very pricey! $48 for 0.75 oz! I do find it works well on pores though. The trick is that you have to press it into your problem areas, not just rub it across like how you would apply a lotion. I tend to focus this product around my nose, chin, and forehead, rather than apply to the whole face. It wont ERASE your pores, it provides a silky barrier on top of your skin so that the foundation can gloss on top instead of filling the textured areas. I find I need this especially when using matte foundations! Its also really important to moisturize underneath, otherwise this won't help much! I do prefer this primer to the photofinish, for a similar product. I find it helps the product from separating and sinking into lines over time (around my mouth and nose).
This product can be a bit expensive to some people but it is 100% worth it. It completely hides all of my pores which are quite large. This leave a smooth not oily feel to your face, and i find that it makes my makeup last longer.
This product is definitely one of my favorited and one of my go to's in my daily makeup routine. Being a girl with fairly larger pores, your able to see them when I apply foundation. This is the only primer I've found so far that decreases it by a lot! Which of course I love. It's not 100% unless I'm on a good day, but it does the job. The only thing that puts me on the fence is that for what it is, it's very expensive for a small tube. Although it does a decent job at hiding my pores, I feel with more trial and error I can find a cheaper solution! It's a nice product, and I will most likely repurchase until I can find an alternative!
I have been using POREfessional for a couple of years now and it is one of the better primers I've used. I found it did help with keeping my makeup on a bit longer but I don't think it hide my pores that well.
I like how it makes your skin look a little smoother and it doesn't have a bad scent to it at all.
I believe the price is around $40 CND. Which isn't a bad price at all for this product, benefit is a great brand. Another huge thing for me is it's cruelty free!
I would recommend getting a sample and trying it out!
The balm does work well but the one thing that I didn't like was putting my foundation on over it , it would almost look like dry spots no matter how much i moisturized so I use it now for touch ups more than anything.
This product was okay for me. It made a nice canvas for my foundation. I did get a few compliments on my skin but i wasnt sure if it was the primer or foundation lol i think its great for oily combo skin. Wish the price could be just a little lower. I would repurchase again for the time being since i havent fallen in love with any other primer so far.
