I know everyone raves about this mascara and I can definitely see why, but it's just not for me.
I received it in the BeautyInsider Birthday Gift from Sephora and I was really looking forward to trying it.
I packed it on my recent vacation (perfect mini size for my travel makeup bag!) and off I went.

The good:
Great lengthening for my lashes - they did look super long
The wand is really interesting with the ball at the end to get the outer corners
Didn't flake all day through sun, humidity, physical activity

The not so good:
Clumped up really quickly
My left eye turned out lopsided (I'm right handed), but that doesn't happen with other mascaras
Left a disaster of a mess on my face when removing it at night - had to scrub it off with two makeup removing wipes and still left me racoon eyes
Made my lashes sharp and crusty feeling

I kept the tube, might use it for a special occasion when I really need to create drama, but definitely not going to be my new favorite.

It's simple. Benefit's They're real mascara is THE BEST MASCARA I tried over the years. I'm a huge fan of mascara and I've probably tried 40 varieties, but this one my my favourite yet.

The texture is perfect, liquid but not too much. it goes on so very evenly and lets no clumps behind. It doesn't fade or fall off in small chunks, and most important of all, it makes my lashes soooo long!

love this mascara, it builds perfect doll eyes. Some may find it brings too much length for an everyday mascara and will prefer using it only for special occasions.

Best mascara I have ever used. Girls that I recommend it to love it. It's a bit pricy, but you can get the smaller size at Sephora for $10. Definitely worth the buy.

I got this mascara as a free sample, and immediately fell in love with it. It goes on so smoothly, with barely any clumps, and makes lashes look so long and quite full. I have never been so satisfied with a mascara before, and look forward to every application.

its the best thing it gives life to your eyes you eye looks big and great and it adds volume to the over all make up

This is my go to mascara! It is a little more then your average drug store mascara but this stuff works! Creates long thick lashes without clumping. The brush has bristles on the tip that help get shorter lashes and lower lashes.

I love love love any and all Benefit products, their Beyond Mascara included. The best part of this mascara is it lasts all day, doesn't clump, layers well, and if needed is waterproof. I made the mistake while wearing the mascara to go swimming in my cousins pool. To my BENEFIT it didn't smudge at all and I was able to leave the pool still looking great! That in itself was worth the money!

It's difficult to find a mascara that works for your lashes, and I think its Girl Code to tell all the other ladies what works best and what is a terrible product. I think Benefit They're Real Mascara is a great IF you already have long lashes. It is extremely dark and thick and it last all day without going for a run down your face. I've read reviews that say "you don't need to curl your lashes anymore" or "doesn't clump at all", and from my experience you do still need to curl your lashes or it WILL clump I have very long lashes and I find this mascara does a great job of seperating, once lashes are curled, and darkening my eye lashes. The down side of this product is the price, but look at it this way- don't eat out at lunch 3 times and you have it covered!

My recommendation would be buy a travel size if your interested but not 100% sure on the product. If you want to try it so bad your body is shaking and its taking all of your will power not to drive to the nearest Sephora, or other stores its sold, then I would suggest going to buy it, like now! I love this mascara but I'm undecided if I'll purchase it again, simply because I am a makeup junkie and I love trying new products. Only time will tell, but if I do have to repeat a product this would be the one!

This mascara is decent. If you have the extra $10 to spend over the average price of a drugstore mascara this may be worth it. It has a plastic bristled brush & although it separates each lash and gives a bit of volume it is not spectacular. I noticed that it smears quite heavily by the end of the day & doesn't hold a curl for more than a few hours. Its not the best or the worst mascara, but I don't believe its worth the price, especially when there are much better options from L'oreal or Maybelline.

Yes, it's more expensive than pharmacies brand. But it's way more effective. When I travel, it's the only makeup I bring, it give my eyes that OMPH I need. My only concern is that it's not waterproof. Beside that, it's the perfect mascara.
