Love love love this mascara, makes lashes not only longer but thicker too. The only problem I see is it seems to run out so fast. I need a tube a month pretty much. But so far nothing beats it.

I don't understand how so many people are hooked on this mascara... It is terrible! Ends up making my lashes quite clumpy and sticky, even after carefully coating them lightly. The mascara is not very buildable. Taking it off is also a disaster - I feel like the formula has to be improved. It is quite disappointing because it is a pricey product. Avoid at all costs!

Although it's a bit on the pricey side costing around 30 CAD plus tax, I love this mascara. While, I didn't see much difference with volume but it's amazing for length. Love it

I'm normally a drugstore mascara kinda girl and thought why spend a lot on high-end mascara. But this mascara is an exception. It makes my lashes wonders! The wand is rubbery and has a spikey ball on the tip which can reach almost every single lash on my eyes. It gives lots of volume and separate the lashes nicely. The formula is quite wet but super water resistant. No clump. No smudge. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

I hate this mascara. The formula is bad enough. It doesn't last and the slightest tearing up or rubbing of the eyes makes it run. The applicator wand is a HAZARD! Please apply slooooowly and carefully because those little stickers at the end of the wand are going to poke the crap out of your eye like they have mine on many occasions. Mascara is already torture enough without adding weapons to my applicator.

i absolutely love Benefit cosmetics and this mascara was to die for. It gave me full and flirty lashes as i was looking for! i have made this staple in my makeup bag. I prefer this to the other brands i have tried like MAC, drug store brands, Dior, clinique and lancome

I got this as a sample with the Sephora birthday gift this year. I tried it for a couple of weeks before writing this review in order to be fair.
The Pros:
Deep, black pigment
nice wearing time - no flaking or smudging
this mascara gives my lashes the most "fanned out" look of any brand I have tried, and the magic is in the brush. By using the ball tip applicator, you can reach every last for a full, fanned out look. That said, here are my cons:

Leaves lashes stiff
Difficult to remove
Can leave lashes spikey instead of full and soft looking

Ultimately, if you are looking for a lot of length and separation and a fanned out look, you might like this mascara. However, don't be fooled into thinking this actually looks like false lashes. Falsies have a thick, full appearance and this doesn't give that effect. Honestly, I don't think this is as good as many L'Oreal mascaras on the market that cost a lot less. You can get a sample size of this for $10 if you are curious. On a side note, if you do like this mascara, I suspect most of the effect lies in the brush design. I will try using this brush with another mascara to see if I get the same effect, and I would encourage you to as well!

this has changed my lash game, love how its so moist and glides on and lifts my lashes, gives me such a full look. the stiffness of the brush helps glide the bristles though each lash.

I am a big mascara user... my small eyes insist on it! So I have tried a LOT of brands over the years, ranging from from cheap drugstore to high end. This is one of the only ones of late that I have actually purchased numerous times now. It is always reliable; always quick and easy to apply and provides an impressive amount of bout length and volume I find.

This is very difficult mascara to work with, I found the formula to be too wet and the brush too stiff. It does give length, but doesn't hold a curl and really weighed down my lashes. I also found this mascara irritated my eyes and was difficult to remove. It's too bad because it is a beautiful glossy jet black colour, but in my mind not worth the hype!
