Great texture.

My favourite part about this product, is that it is non irritating and does not dry my skin out. The texture is really nice, and even feels hydrating.

Summer always makes my face oily and prone to acne, so was excited to try out this product.

Was excited about the benzoyl peroxide formula until I remembered (and saw) that this stuff can stain your sheets and clothing.

I do feel this acne gel works well as a spot-targeting formula, but I have to be cautious about where I use it as I don't want my sheets and clothing permanently bleached!

Did not perform as I expected!

I received a sample of Benzagel Acne Gel 5% to try for free.
The instructions are easy to follow. The texture is a gel. It applies and absorbs well. Not much of a smell. I tried it on a few pimples on my face and there was no change in the pimples. I also had my 16 yr old son try it as well on some of his blemishes. There was no change. It didn’t dry them out either. Maybe it just wasn’t suited to our skin.

Benzagel is Not fast acting

So I tried this on my two 13 year old twin girls. I got them both to try for the same amount of time, roughly 3 weeks. They have both have fair to moderate amount of acne on their foreheads and chins. They also did not want me taking pictures so I didn't. One the one kid, it worked pretty good, within a five days we did notice a difference. On the other, even after a few weeks, nothing had changed. I did monitor them while they were applying to make sure it was done right.

Now, a few things. It gets worse before it gets better. I found it caused both of the girls to break out more before it actually started to help. Eventually on the one girl we had to stop and go get an actual prescription. The other I found it helped. Also, it did dry both of their skin out. So I would recommend maybe applying a good moisturizer before using.

In all, one kid it worked alright the other not so much. Like anything else, it'll probably depend on your skin type. Also, if you have a high to severe amount of acne, a prescription will probably be your best bet.

Kind of Drying and Didn't Notice a Huge Difference

My son was the one to try this free sample I received. He was excited to try something to try and help deal with his acne. He applied it properly every day for a month. He said it went on okay but it ended up being a bit drying. He said it didn't seem to make any difference at all. I personally thought though that his acne seemed less inflamed. He didn't have any real complaints though, just that it didn't seem to help. But being a teen maybe his acne is more stubborn? It also seems like quite a small tube for how much it costs. If it worked better maybe it would be worth it? I am pretty sure I wouldn't recommend this to someone, but if they have tried everything else I may suggest it in case it would work for them.

Je n'ai pas aimé ce produit, car il rend la peau vraiment très sèche !
Je pense qu'il doit être efficace en bout de ligne, mais ma peau se mettait à me gratter vraiment beaucoup et à peler comme après un coup de soleil. J'avais comme plein de croutes aux endroits où je l'ai utilisé, en plus du fait que je l'utilisais seulement une fois par jour !
Je pense que c'est un produit vraiment fort et il doit être utilisé sur une peau vraiment pas sensible.
Je ne rachèterais pas, car j'ai vraiment peur que ce soit très nocif pour la peau !

Where do I start? Right before I started using this product I experienced a bad case of acne and so I thought this would help. noticed that though it did help control my acne I started getting tiny pimples over my cheekbones which would not go away. It's been four weeks and my skin looks the same as it did then, with acne and acne scars with no change.
As I started using it I noticed that it left my skin feeling dry and mask-like really uncomfortable. It also stung but I understood it was part of the product, along with the extreme peeling

In reality, I don't think I would recommend this product. Maybe I will try it again in the future along with their other products and hopefully, it will work this time.

For those you have sensitive skin, stay away from this one. The skin on my cheeks started peeling after a few uses and now I can feel that the skin on my cheeks is thicker. My dermatologist says that i the result of excess scrubbing and skin irritation. Dont make the mistake i made.
