Not too shabby

This lipstick is aesthetically pleasing since it embodies that classic/retro vibe, and the color payoff is great but i personally found the formula to be very dry on my lips. I practically had to drag it across my lip to get it on. The price point is a bit high but it’s worth it if you are a sucker for packaging like me.

Modern Day Vintage

Besame Cosmetics Classic Color Lipsticks have been my go brand for authentic reds from the 1940's-1950's. After trying endless brands over the years, I was elated to finally find Besame. Their vast collection of reds are going to become instant staples for vintage Vixens. Their lipsticks are super creamy, go on smooth, are non drying and doesn't feather. I now have numerous Besame shades with my new personal favorite being Victory Red.

The best lipstick I've ever tried, hands down.

I was using KvD liquid lipsticks for a while, but once my favourite red ran out I decided to replace it with this baby. The packaging is gorgeous and very true to original vintage make up packaging. The shape of the lipstick is great too and enables you to outline your lips first before filling them in. It smells like vanilla which isn't necessarily my favourite (it could be unscented imo) but it's not overbearing. Application is super smooth, it doesn't bleed (even without liner) and it lasts ALL DAY. Even through eating, drinking, kissing etc. I sometimes only have to touch it up a little bit by the end of the day if I go out.

I'm definitely going to get more colours (if not all of them!) :)
