I have been trying to find Chalk Markers for a few months now to use on our organizational chalk calendar at home, and discovered these ones on a fluke.

To make the markers work, it did take me quite a bit of effort. I opened the cap of the colour I wanted to use, pressed the tip down, put the cap back on, and shook it. And shook. And shook. And shook it some more. I have strong arms as a cyclist, and this was more intense than shaking a spray can or doing dreaded push ups. I found the average marker took at least 2 minutes of constant shaking to get the ink to fill the tip with colour. This would be my only issue with the marker. Having no previous chalk marker experience, I do not know if this is normal or not.

Once the ink was on the tip, however, the ink flowed evenly and I was able to write and draw without streaking or smudging.

The tips are neat, as you can actually pull the tip out – giving the option of either a writing end or a thicker end for colouring in or making dots and patterns. Any ink that gets on your fingers while switching the tip easily comes off with water.

I have used these on our Chalk board, mirrors, windows, and of course, the included chalkboard labels.

I do like that there are 10 colours, so a colour to suit each mood, picture, and saying. They are all bright and vibrant, and once the base colour has dried, you can even draw patterns on top of it!

While drying or even after dried, the marker comes off simply with a light wiping with a damp cloth. I have not seen any residue from the markers on any of the surfaces I have drawn upon. I did test each surface first though, to ensure I did not leave a permanent mark!

I love the included chalkboard labels – I have used them for scrapbooking and even put a few on the walls as permanent reminders.

Overall, I would definitely recommend these chalk markers to anyone creative, business owners, teachers, and more (basically everyone)!
