Although the price of Bio-oil has come down in recent years, I still find it to be more expensive then it's worth. I used this to help reduce the appearance of new scars, particularly to fade pigmentation issues. Though I did notice a difference when I used this product, I much prefer using 100% vitamin E oil. This product took a long time to soak into the skin, and even then left me feeling slightly greasy... I've never had this issue with a 100% vitamin E oil, they've always absorbed quickly and left my skin smooth without residue. Overall, I think there are products on the market that have better results with less issues.
I used this product regularly until I had surgery , applied to wound areas and caused me a lot of discomfort . It helped the skin area heal and look so much better . But for the discomfort that it caused I do not recommend this product for use on surgical wounds .
I'm sorry but I did not find that this product worked at all for me. It was oily/greasy and didn't leave my scars looking any different. I wasn't a fan of the smell either.
I bought this to help get rid of stretch marks during my 1st pregnancy. I used it daily for a few months and didn't notice any difference. Just not for me I guess.
I was disappointed with this product. After reading reviews I thought I would really enjoy this product but did not find it to be anything special and was expensive
I tried Bio-Oil when I was pregnant. I found it kind of sat on top of my skin and didn’t really absorb much. I felt like my clothes would end up absorbing more than my skin did, and that was after having it on for a good 30 minutes before getting dressed (while I did my hair). By the time I reapplied at night my skin almost felt dry. It smelled really nice though.
I tried bio oil about a year ago and I honestly could not get over the smell of it. it was kind of nice at first and then as it sat on my skin, it didn't smell very good. I tried it on a scar and used it every day for a month and a half and I didn't see results. maybe I just didn't use it as much as I should have but then a week ago I wanted to give it another try and when I pt some on my hands it smelled really terrible. I do not know if tree is an expiration date but I really wasn't a fan of this product.
I used this for several months on my stretchy/cellulite marks on my thighs, and didn't notice a difference between day 1 and day 60.
In-between this, I was also working out daily - there should of been a noticeable difference.
I think I'm stuck with marks!
It was quite oily (to be expected), so I only used it before bed, and not a huge amount (again, oily).
I tried using this product on my stretch marks. I applied it every night, but after months of using this, the stretch marks looks exactly the same as they were. It was disappointing. I did get my skin moisturized at the area of application from using this, but other than that, this product is no amazement.
When I bought this product I had already had my child so I was a little late trying it out but over all I did see a small difference. So I recommend this product for stretch marks during or right after pregnancy. Please read instructions though.
