Stretch marks are hereditary, but this company acts like you can cover them up, or even prevent them. I disagree! I used it religiously in my pregnancy and still ended up with a ton of stretch marks. Plus it was very greasy feeling.
Definitely not worth the money.
I love bio-oil. I have strech marks because I gain and lost a lot of weight. it helps the skin to heal and the smell is good. maybe a bit powerfull but still smells good.
I started using this product several months ago. I noticed how much I wasted just rubbing it on the skin so I tried pouring a small amount into the bath tub. Although my old stretch marks and scars are still visible it has helped with my dry and bumpy skin. Because this product is a little on the expensive side I only bathe in it once a week but my skin is soft and silky smooth.
I tried using BioOil on my stretch marks. I didn't notice a difference, and I really didn't like the smell, but my husband did compliment me on how soft my skin was - so I guess that's good.
I haven't used any other stretch mark products, so unfortunately I don't have a basis for comparison, and although I wouldn't recommend this product to a friend, I would probably try it again when I get pregnant.
I have been using this for the minimum recommended amounts and duration and have yet to see any results on my stretch marks. I will continue to use until the bottle is gone and will review again if I notice any changes at all.
I have been using this product since after I had my first child, hoping it would get rid of some of the stretch marks I had gotten. It hadn't reduced the redness that I had from my current marks but once I was pregnant with my second child I used it through out my pregnancy and I didn't get any new marks. It helps to stop them but if you already have them its quite hard to get rid of.
Bio oil claims to diminish the appearance of stretch marks, my body shows otherwise. It leaves your skin feeling greasy.
Presented as a Vitamin E oil, this is also mixed with other ingredients like soybean oil which means that the oil isn't as potent as it could be, it's a bit overpriced for such a little bottle. It doesn't even help with my stretch marks at all and I've used it religiously for months in addition to rubbing cocoa butter over my stretch marks. It's nice and moisturizing but leaves a sticky feeling on your skin the day after so I'll give it some points for its moisture effects.
I purchased a bottle after hearing so many good things about it. I have some acne scars on my face that won't fade no matter what I try. So, I gave Bio Oil a shot. I applied it religiously for about 2 months and didn't notice anything. I was pretty disappointed.
I recently heard that you can put Bio Oil on your eyebrows to help stimulate growth. I have started applying it nightly so hopefully I'll be able to finish the bottle finally!
Unless it was at a very good price and I did notice extra growth on my brows, I do not think I will purchase Bio Oil again.
I didn't find this to be very moisturizing, and i saw no difference in my stretch marks so far. the fact that its a liquid makes application a little messy.
