cleanses AND moisturizes
I've always used Sensibio from Bioderma as I do tend to have sensitive skin. When I bought Hydrabio instead as the drugstore was out of Sensibio, I was pleasantly surprised to find I like this better. I have dry skin and this makes my face not feel tight after cleaning! It's still great for sensitive skin but with the added moisturizing bonus!
Micellar water is great, this is pretty good.
This is not my most favourite micellar water on the market, but I still like it and I'm a big fan of micellar water in general. The two downsides of this were as follows.
- A little drying on my combination skin.
- Fragrance added.
While the fragrance isn't strong, I do think when it comes to products for sensitive skin, you should avoid it. I also found Micellar waters have worked best for me when they have almost nothing added and are stripped back, with no extra ingredients.
There's also a lot of good things about this micellar water. The bottle is a reasonably good size and very easy to dispense, it's basically foolproof if you tip the bottle over a flat cotton pad.
I also found it was as good as make-up remover for taking off old makeup, though waterproof makeup does need a couple of repeat swipes to get most of it. If you compare it to a serious oil based makeup remover it's probably not as good, but compared to a drugstore waterproof makeup remover, it does a better job.
Generally speaking, micellar water has been a huge revelation for me and you could do a lot worse than this one.
It’s just ok
I used to like this. But the last few bottles don’t work as well as they used to. I have to use a lot just to get mascara off. If I’m not wearing mascara, then it works ok.
It really works
This is my first time trying micellaire water. I have combination skin and it works well on both the dry and oily parts. I wouldn't use this to remove just my makeup though. It's good for like a toner or removing makeup around the eyes. I used it on a full face without using a cleanser first and my face didn't feel clean and fresh.
I find this very expensive though and I feel you need to use a sizeable amount.
The scent didn't bother me. I found it to be very subtle.
Tip: it took Alot of product to remove my voluminous lash paradise waterproof mascara.
A bit too perfumed for me!
I am new to the world of micellar water and decided to try Bioderma's Hydrabio H2O Hydrating Micelle Solution. It works really well at removing the last traces of makeup, oil, and dirt from my face and around my eyes after cleansing my skin. I find that my skin feels less tacky after using it compared to other micellar water solutions - however, I find the scent/perfume too heavy for my preference and I wanted to rinse it off anyway to prevent the scent from lingering.
For people who don't mind using scented products, this micellar solution works well and doesn't dry out your skin!
