I LOVE, Love Love Biore Strips! But you do have to know how to use them. It will take a few times for you to understand how they work, what I do is rinse my face with really warm water, let it set for a minute or two, I exfoliate my face, then rinse and then apply the strips using some pressure. They will harden and mold to your skin like paper mache. Then leave on as directed and peel off! They Work so GOOOOOD! Your skin is left soft and almost glowing! Highly recommended for every girl.
Nose strips? LOVE THEM! I have really large pores and they work amazingly. I get a bit nervous when taking them off - they tend to really stick around the nostril area, but I know that they work great and it's all worth a bit of pain in the end.
I remember trying these when they first came out and after years of not using them I again bought a pack to try. For some reason I found that they didn't work as good as I had remembered and now feel I wasted my money on a sub-par product.
I heard you can do the same thing with Elmer's glue, never tried it but i've heard your can.
I will probably use up what I have and wouldn't object to a free sample or two but don't think I will purchase again for myself.
I really love the company Biore, but I don't think these black head strips are that great.
I went through a whole box and barely noticed a difference.
You can see that it's working because you can actually see the black heads on the strip when you take it off, but it doesn't show when you look at your nose.
Not only do they do just an average job, but the price is RIDICULOUS! It came to almost $15 for 8 strips! It's a good thing you don't use them everyday or you would be broke!
The only reason why I would SORT OF recommend this product is because there is literally no other brand name that makes these things, so if you want to give it a try, this is the brand you'll have to go for.
I do like how it turns hard though, like paper mache.. That part is neat :D
I received these as a free sample about a month ago, along with a $2 coupon. Which is always appreciated. There is nothing that ticks me off more than a company that sends out samples without a coupon. Hello?? Incentive to buy??
The application method for these is the same as previous Pore Strips, although I've never followed the directions. I normally put the strip under slowly running water for just a second and then slap it on. The less wet they are, the worse the results are. They could have improved the way it fits around the nose. Maybe make a few extra side slits so it doesn't just sit on top of that crease beside a person's nose. Everybody's got gunk in there they want to get cleaned out.
Do they work? Yes. But no better than previous 'models' :-) The results definitely do not justify the jacked up price. Because of this, I won't be buying them unless they are on sale, and definitely NOT without a coupon. There is simply no way that Biore/Kao Brands can come up with a good enough explanation as to why they are seriously ripping people off for these little suckers. If they removed every single blackhead a person might have, sure. But they don't. Which is also the reason why I won't be buying the new ones which are meant for the cheeks and forehead. They're even MORE expensive!
Far too much hype over these. That being said, I do use them from time to time, but I certainly don't and will not be using them every week.
I really like these pore strips! I agree that it does hurt a bit on the parts of your cheeks it touches and at the crease of your nose when you are pulling it off, but it's still worth it. I always notice fewer blackheads left on my nose after use. If you use it after a hot shower or after you have steamed your face the results will be significantly better since your pores will be open and ready! After you pull it off your nose it's pretty gross to see all the gunk that came out of my face, but it's satisfying to know it is not on me anymore!
I definitely would recommend using these every so often to minimize blackheads - don't expect perfection though, it does not get rid of them all! I also agree that they are a bit pricey, but I've tried a few similar products and nothing works as well as these.
Oh how fun these can be. I remember the first time I used these strips was back in the mid 90s and at a over night girls night party. I tried it out there first and was Amazed at all the tiny trees of blackheads it pulled out of my nose. It kinda grossed me out to know they were living inside my pores for all that time.
I can admit that I'm a bit addicted to using these theres something gratifying about pulling out those ugly blackheads. I tend to look at the strip after I remove it with pride at my good riddance of blackheads.
They can be quite expensive but they do go on sale every now and then so watch for it if you need to save some money. You only technically need one strip a week if not 1 every two weeks.
I have found this product to be hit-and-miss. I can't seem to get consistent, good results from it. Perhaps this is user error- so if you're a beauty product wiz, go for it; if not, steer clear. What I usually get from using these is 15 minutes wasted and a sore nose from pulling the thing off. Once in a while, it might grab a black head. More often than not, the reason I used it is still there glaring at me in the mirror after using it.
I was quite impressed with this product and did notice a difference. You can see what the strips have pulled out so there is actual evidence that they work. The only problem i find it that they dont get everything out and often there are still blocked pores around the side of the nose. But I suppose nothing is perfect. Dont over use this product as it tends to dry out the skin!
I am conflicted with this products because on the one hand, I love this product and it is a staple in my make up bag and my medicine cabinet. On the other hand, I find it extremely pricey. Even with the coupons it is too expensive. I only buy it when it is on clearance at Walmart.
It is very effective in removing the clogged pores on my top of my nose and around my nostrils. I do not have blackheads so I cannot comment on its removal of that. But its effectiveness is as good as you apply it. You have to apply it well and make sure that it is completely dry and hard before you remove it. I also peel it off fairly slow. If I follow my directions the nose strip is very effective.
