I decided to try Biotherm Celluli-Laser D Code after having my second baby. Since giving birth, I had some stretched skin on the bottom of my belly, and had no way to be rid of it, other than gain weight to fill it out! My hope was to have surgery, but funds didn't allow, so after I heard about this product, I pushed myself past the slightly steep price, but figured, if it cost that much, it might help a lil. I was really skeptical on creams, too, because I've always had a thing where I didn't believe creams could penetrate deep enough into the skin to make a real difference. Well, I love it! I have been using it for the past 4 months, as regularly as I remember it, and it really has helped enormously. I'm sure if I remembered it twice a day like the label advises, I would be almost laughing! It took a while to kick off, but I kept pushing on with it, and one morning after sizing myself up in the mirror, I realized my belly was really starting to look a lot better. Not surgical results, of course, but great for just a cream. And definitely worth the price! After the 2nd month I decided to try it paired with the complementary night cream. Wow! What a difference! Will definitely continue to use this product!! Going to try the exfoliating cream next! (Must advise: This cream is marketed as an anti-cellulite product. Works on cellulite by toning a firming the skin to reduce the appearance. This is why it works for problems like mine.)
This is my 4th Cellulite cream. I am 33 and have mild to modertate cellulite on my butt and upper thighs. If I gain a tiny bit of weight the cellulite is more visible. The only cream that worked in the past was ROC, but was annoying to put on, the bottle was hard and kept slipping away. Then I tried a few other with no noticeable results. This Biotherm seems to be working. I'm now on my 7th day. Skin feels definitely tighter and the dimples are slowly fading away. I don't know about the 10 day promise, but it is surely fading away. I still don't know what happens after you discontinue to use it. Will see after I'm done with my first tube.
Another thing I need to point out, is that it leaves a residue on your skin. So the stuff doesn't really get absorbed completely. It does dry out but does not go all the way into your pores. So when you shower at night or in the morning, you take away all the left over from your last application... sort of like a waste it feels.... but overall it works.
After I received Biotherm's Celluli Laser D. Code, I put it to the test on only my left leg for comparison. I love the texture of the gel and how fast absorbing it is. I tend to have the impression of anti-cellulite creams to be really sticky, but this one had a very refreshing texture to it. The gel does contain some mild scent which didn't bother me. However, after two weeks of application, I cannot really notice a big difference. The skin is softer, which makes me feel like it's a great moisturizer, but that's as far as it goes. I did however only applied it once a day instead of twice a day.
I received this product as part of the Product Review Club which I was so grateful as I wouldn't normally go out and purchase this. Cellulite is a problem for me but I tend to buy other beauty products first such as makeup before creams and lotions.
I loved the cooling sensation of this product and the scent was appealing which was a surprise as I often find these types of creams have a medicinal smell to them. I was also very pleased with how the cream was nice and smooth, not sticky. The cream made my skin very smooth and soft.
I'm still undecided on how effective the product was on making my cellulite actually minimize in appearance but I think with prolonged use it will be effective. I did notice a difference in the texture and feel of my skin so I will continue to use this product long after this review. I would recommend this to friends and family.
Thanks again Chick Advisor for introducing me to a great product!
I received Cellui Laser D.Code Advanced Anti-Celluite Care by Biotherm from the Chickadvisor Review Club. I used this product twice a day for over three weeks, applying it once in the morning and once at night. I would have to say that I have moderate cellulite on my thighs and butt and I have used anti-cellulite products in the past, more often in the summer months than any other time of year.
The packaging for this product was very nice and the tube was perfect in squeezing out just the right amount of product to apply. The fragrance of the product was citrus- like with an odd chemical undertone, it reminded me of furniture polish that I use, I tried to let it grow on me but it was quite off-putting. The cream was an orange colour with some shimmer in that I quite liked, although I found the cream could be quite drying, so in the future I probably would not use in the winter months because I tend to have dry skin on my legs.
As for the effectiveness of the product, I found it dramatically improved the tone and texture of my skin and did smooth out some patches of minor cellulite, while somewhat minimizing the bigger dimples on my thighs. I was very happy with the results and will continue to use this cream into the summer. I would buy this cream again, despite the hefty price tag ($70.00) and I will recommend it to my friends who have mild to moderate cellulite or to those who just want achieve a smoother skin tone on their thighs, butt and glutes.
I tried to give this product a fair chance by faithfully applying it twice a day, as directed. If I didn't quite manage both applications every day, I almost always got at least one in. The lotion itself is very nice, a thick gel that smoothes into skin nicely. I could tell when I was wearing it but it never felt tacky or sticky. And I'm impressed that a month later I still have a fair amount of product left, even after using a pretty generous dollop each time.
As for results, it didn't eliminate all traces of dimples, but my skin is firmer and smoother, and this at a time when I'm several pounds over my normal weight (I was calling it 'holiday weight' but since we're now March I'll have to rename it). It's effective enough that I would happily continue to apply it twice a day... if it were always free.
So my "you betcha" is qualified. For me, $80 is a big deal and far surpasses any amount I've ever spent on a product. If it were a one-time investment, fine, but as an ongoing part of my routine I would have to pass. But if you can afford it, go for it.
I have been using this lotion for about 2 weeks now,
If you have severe cellulite I don't think you'll get rid of it ,with this lotion or any other,
But I have to say it did improve my skin texture ,it looks more even and smoother,
I have yet to finish the tube ...
Overall I recomend it for those who are willing to spend that money it's not a miracle
cure but leaves the skin looking better for sure!!!
WHAT'S ADVERTISED
The folks at Biotherm claim that Celluli Laser D.Code targets the specific genes contained in the fatty tissues around the body that cause cellulite. Once targeted, its wonder ingredient, phytosveltyl, stimulates protein in your body to reduce fatty deposits building up and prevent new fat cells forming. Any existing cellulite you do have is broken down, and "voila - no more dimples!"
THE REAL SCOOP
Biotherm Celluli Laser D.Code takes skincare and makes science fiction come to life... to a certain extent. While there is still no miracle cream out there, in the 3-4 weeks that I have been using this cream there has been an improvement over the past month in the look/texture of those oh-so-lovable "problem" areas (ie bum & thighs for me). Admittedly, the cellulite wasn't a prevalent issue that made me lose sleep at night but who wouldnt want to have a tighter body?
The fact of the matter is that cellulite is something that affects a majority of Canadian women and there are 2 contributing factors which cause this: genetics and lifestyle. A sedentary lifestyle (not getting enough exercise, poor circulation) and a diet that is increasingly comprised of processed foods can be changed to a certain degree by eating better and exercising, but genetics are unfortunately impossible to deal with.... until the introduction of Celluli Laser D.Code.
I have tried a similar offering from Shiseido ("Body Creator Aromatic Body Sculptor") in the past with mediocre results at best, so full credit given to the Laser D.Code for showing some signs of improvement and smoother skin. Results should be taken with a grain of salt because of our varying individual activity levels and pre-wired genetics. For myself, I am extremely active (gym 4-5x/week) and tend to eat well (more or less, with the occasional indulgence in sweets). In addition to the twice daily regimen of rubbing as directed, I suspect strongly that the active lifestyle is a huge contributing factor. I have made a conscious effort since the new year to increase water intake, which also helps to flush away toxins. The truth is, it is not the miracle cream that it promises to be but with visible results, it seems to be who eat well and exercise but still have dimpled skin.
Bottom line, at the price point that it is currently being offered at, would I re-purchase? The answer is a qualified yes. I do believe that these results warrant a longer-term usage, but my first recommendation would be for girlfriends to look into diet/exercise as the first line of defense. For the price (which is steep enough to deter first-time users), you do get a fair bit of product but you could also get some great workouts/exercise classes for that same price. This product shines with dedicated use and in conjunction with lifestyle changes.
I was looking forward to trying the Biotherm Celluli Laser D.Code cream and overall I would say that it worked well.
While its obvious that no cellulite creams can achieve permanent results, as far as a topical 'temporary' cream goes, this product did manage to reduce the overall appearance and texture of cellulite on my thighs and buttocks. It had a great light scent and non greasy texture and was very easy to apply.
i was actually excited to get picked to test this for the simple fact that i have always believed that these dont work and are always very expensive to buy and try... the smell wasnt bad it was citrus with mabe a hint of floral but more citrus, the texture was a smooth gel and it went on smooth and sunk into the skin really fast, i dont think it really gets rid of cellulite but it smooths out your skin and or tightens it to make it appear as if the cellulite has gone which i guess is a good thing especially if your wanting to show your body off without the appearance of cellulite, i would try to make the bottle last as long as possible as the price is a bit steep but if you dont care about the price and want something to smooth your skin out then i would recommend you at least try it once in your life and see what it can do for you :)
