I absolutely love these products. Whenever I go into the store, I am sorely tempted to pick up the whole line! I have two shades currently and they are my go to product. So many mattes transfer or smudge easily and these do not. They feel great on, easy to tuck into my purse, easy to store on my makeup counter (pencil holder/brush holder would works just fine) I wondered if there was going to be enough product to make it worth the price. Absolutely! It takes only a touch of product to do the job and since it lasts so long, you really don't need much product to get you through the day.
I am 100% hooked on these. And I'm a lipstick addict.

I received this as a gift, in a bright orange red colour. It's gorgeous on - pigmentation is great, it's easy to apply, I find it moisturizing and it smells great. On the negative side, I find that it doesn't have long-lasting wear so I'm always re-applying. Not terrible (I've worn worse!), but it can be a bad brand to use if you're going out to wine, dine and schmooze the night away.

I have this in Madeira, a lovely pale nude color. Formula is creamy and the finish is not really matte, which is okay for me but not recommended for those looking for and expecting it to be a matte lip pencil. Feels comfortable on the lips, not too heavy. I sometime use this underneath bold lip colors to help the bold color pop. Lasting power is not bad. I normally reapply after meals. Overall I do enjoy this product for an everyday lip color.

I too got one of these to try in the office. I chose a brighter shade that comes out looking even brighter on my lips. It's not 100% true to the how it appears before you put it on. However, the product itself is lovely. Reasonably long lasting, about as moisturizing as a lipstick and easy to apply with precision because it is in a pencil format. I especially love that it is a more natural lipstick, all with food grade ingredients.

I would really like to try the lipstick version because the girls in the office really seemed to like them. These are pricy at $28 each. It's more than I would normally pay for a lipstick, but I feel better about the ingredients than other lip products in the same price range.

I was recently asked to review the Bite Beauty High Pigment Matte Pencil, Meritage.

First, you should know that I don't own many lipsticks. I am a minimalist by nature and only have a couple at any given time. I tend to wear safe colours - nothing shocking! Up until now, I never knew that lipstick can look like a crayon. And, I certainly had no idea there was such a thing as "food grade" lipstick. So, this experience was indeed a bit of an education.

When Bite Beauty generously sent over several different colours for our office to test, I of course went for something muted. That wasn't going to fly with the ChickAdvisor crowd. The very stylish twenty something's in my office suggested that I make a 'statement' and go with a bright red. Though I didn't take what I suspect was excellent beauty advice, I did go bolder than my usual.

Here are my thoughts: The lipstick glides on easily. The colour is simply gorgeous and looks fabulous on - day or night, weekend or weekday! It is super creamy and feels great on your lips. My only criticism (and it's not a big one), is that it doesn't last long and needs to be reapplied often. That said, I absolutely love it and like any good minimalist worth their salt, I threw out an older lipstick to make room for this one - out with the old and in with the new. It's my new go-to and has made regular rotation.

I'm definitely planning to pick up another colour. Who knows, maybe Scarlet!
