Shade Madeira

Loved this shade! I have it in madeira and it is the most beautiful nude lip shade on me. I will be sad to see it go. I believe they discontinued it. If I could re-purchase I would.

Love this lip pencil. Goes on and stays on for quite a while. The colours are vibrant and pretty and it does not dry out your lips. I will definitely purchase this again

Pricey but worth it! This is the most pigmented, smoothest matte lip colour I've tried! I have the shade velvet and it lasts for hours. A little goes a long way too so you get more bang for your buck. I only have to reapply after eating a meal with this lip pencil. It's great!

This a a dark berry almost purple shade. It's the perfect fall lippie called Aubergine.

I have this in bouquet which is a soft peachy pink colour and absolutely LOVE it! Perfect for on the go and you can apply it without looking in the mirror.

I absolutely love these products. Whenever I go into the store, I am sorely tempted to pick up the whole line! I have two shades currently and they are my go to product. So many mattes transfer or smudge easily and these do not. They feel great on, easy to tuck into my purse, easy to store on my makeup counter (pencil holder/brush holder would works just fine) I wondered if there was going to be enough product to make it worth the price. Absolutely! It takes only a touch of product to do the job and since it lasts so long, you really don't need much product to get you through the day.
I am 100% hooked on these. And I'm a lipstick addict.

I was recently asked to review the Bite Beauty High Pigment Matte Pencil, Meritage.

First, you should know that I don't own many lipsticks. I am a minimalist by nature and only have a couple at any given time. I tend to wear safe colours - nothing shocking! Up until now, I never knew that lipstick can look like a crayon. And, I certainly had no idea there was such a thing as "food grade" lipstick. So, this experience was indeed a bit of an education.

When Bite Beauty generously sent over several different colours for our office to test, I of course went for something muted. That wasn't going to fly with the ChickAdvisor crowd. The very stylish twenty something's in my office suggested that I make a 'statement' and go with a bright red. Though I didn't take what I suspect was excellent beauty advice, I did go bolder than my usual.

Here are my thoughts: The lipstick glides on easily. The colour is simply gorgeous and looks fabulous on - day or night, weekend or weekday! It is super creamy and feels great on your lips. My only criticism (and it's not a big one), is that it doesn't last long and needs to be reapplied often. That said, I absolutely love it and like any good minimalist worth their salt, I threw out an older lipstick to make room for this one - out with the old and in with the new. It's my new go-to and has made regular rotation.

I'm definitely planning to pick up another colour. Who knows, maybe Scarlet!
