I read this book for class, the title interested me. As I read it I was so interested in it. The writer of the book had actually came and did a speech at my school. This woman was very inspiring. A brief review about the book is that a young girl is forced to get married to a man that she had just met, he put up an act of being all nice to her and then once they were married he beat her, starved her, made her sleep on the floor, force sex, and made her not talk to any of her family members.
She had a broken jaw and broken bones and survived everything, and gets away from the man. I just loved this book it was very touching.
