This product works great when not only battling the cold temps but also when fighting cold sores!

I used this a few years back when my lips were so dry and cracked they were bleeding and very painful. Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment definitely does the job of healing severely dry lips. It has a slight smell to it and is a bit oily, I recommend using it at bedtime as I did. Since using it, I've been much more careful about keeping my lips moisturized and protected with lip chap when I'm outside (especially in winter), so I haven't needed to go back to this.

This ointment is great - it moistens my lips overnight and works quick if I wanted to moisten my lips before going out. I don't use this often because it is medicated, but even the few times I've used it I find my lips are getting used to it. It isn't problem with me because I use their other products.

I've used blistex for years to treat extra dry cracked lips, but never on my cold sores...Until I saw my husband use it and it worked better than ABREVA!

So I finally tried and it truly does make a cold sore smaller, heal quick, and not develop into the puss stage and peeling/bleeding stage. It soothes the cold sore so you don't feel the tingly itchy feeling.

I will keep buying Blistex from now on and will never buy abreva again. Abreva dried quick and left me feeling itchy. It only worked if you used it immediately on first signs of the cold sore, and it still led to peeling of the skin and bleeding! I have a scar from one time , even after using abreva. With blistex-NO scar.

Blistex works and costed about $3.99 on sale (economy size, which I can cut open at the end to finish it all)
Abreva costs $19.99 for a stupid metal tube that's puny in size, and cannot open it up when it's almost done.

Try Blistex next time u have a cold sore! Apply about 4 times a day for good results.

I swear this medicated lip ointment has been around all my life. It was an excellent product when I first tried it and an even better product now.

It is so effective for chapped lips, cold sore and other minor lip problems, I find it so soothing when you first apply it and it goes to work almost immediately. One of the least expensive but best lip ointments on the market.

J'utilise à l'occasion lorsque mes lèvres sont ravagées.... ça fait assez rapidement effet. D'ailleurs, la sensation de picotement est immédiate. Le goût n'est pas super, par contre.

I have had dry skin for decades! When I lived in Winnipeg, MB, it was worse. I was so thrilled to discover this brand and could feel the tingling heal of my cracked dry lips. I buy numerous packs as I tend to need them for various parts of the house, car, purse. Love this. Will never go back to wax ointment/balms again.

Simply the best lip treament for extremely dry or chapped lips or noses especially in cold season. Nice tingly mint smell, lasts all night when i put on before bed. Only drawback is white colour, but if you blend in its not noticeable. Will always have a tube of this on hand at home.

I have used this for what seems like a lifetime. It is always reasonably priced for the value. I love the fresh taste it leaves on my lips. Any time I have dry lips, I only need to use this for just a couple of days and they are all cleared up. Use it every night before bed. Love this product.

This is something to have in your purse or household for the winters.
Works great for sore or chapped lips. Especially cold sores. Medicated and love the menthol like cool sensation upon application.
