This really works and I would highly recommend it to anyone, expically in the harsh winter months when lips are prone to cracking. It protects your lips and you can feel it working because it kind of tingles and it heals really quickly.

I definitely recommend this because it works!
works best when u catch it at its early development stages because you feel it stops it from growing and scabbing up into a giant blackish-brown patch on your lip.

-easy to use
-ointment does not sting as much as some of the others
Cons: - does not get ride of it in one day :(

i love this product. i suffer from really bad cold sores and swear by blistex,it heals cold sores fast. i also use the normal blistex the other times due to really chapped lips and to prevent sun burns. i love it and would recommed it to anyone

I used Blistex exclusively for about 15 years until I found out that some of their products contain all three of the ingredients that should be avoided in lip product.

" Menthol, camphor and phenol cool and anesthetize the lips, but can also dry your lips and/or produce redness and swelling"...so I guess the things that were making me love the product were making my lips drier and making me use more.

I loved the feeling of applying this product and it's still difficult to stand in the lip balm isle and choose anything other than Blistex.

I have used Blistex for many years. I originally bought this product for help with a cold sore and was surprised at how nice it made my lips feel. It quickly became the only thing I use on my lips. Most Chapstick type products leave the lips with a waxy feel, and this leaves your lips feeling conditioned. It is like you put a good facial moisturizer on your lips. I do not get cold sores anymore, since I began using this product. Number one in my books for the lips.

I love this! It is perfect for dry, cracked, chapped winter lips! When I was younger, I would lick my lips when they were dry and it would make everything worse, of course, but after using this for two days you could barely tell my lips were ever even dry, never mind cracked and bleeding!

This stuff did not work for me, I'd apply it, it would sting, and my lips were still dry and chapped. I tried it just at night when I didn't need the added protection of a greasier balm and it still didn't do anything. My boyfriend likes it when his lips are chapped and it works for him so I would say give it a try it might work for you.

I have been using this blistex for years, it's the only one I have found to work, I find when my lips are really bad if i apply Blistex several times daily and rub it in good that my lips are healing by the next day, If I use this as soon as my lips start getting dry I don't get cracked lips.

I LOVE this product. It's meant for cold sores, but I actually just use it as a lip conditioner because it does the job. I can have the most chapped and cracking lips - which, let's be honest, is a daily occurrence - and within a short time of using this product, they feel hydrated!

I will say that it tastes and smells like crap, but hey it works. It's kind of like Buckley's cough syrup: It tastes awful. And it works.
