I only use the lip ointment when my lips are more dry than usual: when I've been out in the sun all day, before and after any winter sports, etc. It works every time and one 11g tube normally lasts me between 6 to 12 months. I also use Blistex chap sticks (with SPF).

I have severely dry lips that get chapped on a daily basis. And if I don't apply anything on them, they will start to crack, bleed, burn, or at worst, blister into cold sores. This is the only product that provides my lips with instant, cooling relief and helps keep cold sores away. I have been using this product every since I was a teenager and cannot go without it. I usually apply it 3 times a day and like the applicator it comes in.

This works really well for dry lips. I find it a little oily but it does the job!

Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment works wonders on dry chapped lips . The sent is not my favorite though
