Blue Lizard Sensitive Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 exceeded my expectations. As someone with sensitive skin, I’m always cautious about what products I use, especially sunscreen.This lotion went on smoothly and didn’t irritate my skin at all. I appreciate that it’s reef-safe, which aligns with my commitment to protecting the environment. The SPF 50 provided excellent sun protection during outdoor activities, and I didn’t experience any sunburns while using it. Though I found it a bit greasy upon application, but it absorbed quickly and didn’t leave a residue. Overall, I would highly recommend this sunscreen, especially for those with sensitive skin or anyone looking for a reliable, eco-friendly option.

Better for body than face

I prefer to use this on my body and hands than my face. First time I used it on my face, it left a white cast which is typical for most mineral sunscreens. However, this sunscreen accentuates the dry spots I had on my face even with moisturizer applied. It made my face look a bit cakey. Using it on my hands and arms was perfectly fine. First time using this, I did not read the instructions to shake the bottle. It leaked when I opened the cap. The consistency is quite liquidy and not thick. It does not really have a scent which is nice for those who are sensitive to strong scent.

Effective and natural

I got the chance to review the blue lizard Australian sunscreen in 50 spf. This mineral sunscreen is safe for sensitive skin while still offering uva and uvb protection. This sunscreen is reef safe so it’s good for us and the reef, this makes me so happy! This sunscreen is water resistant for 80 minutes. I found that this sunscreen applys nicely, and doesn’t leave a greasy film of a white cast. I was able to easily reapply as needed throughout the day. Definitely a fan of this mineral sunscreen, and will be picking up more when I run out. #gotitfree

Lightweight sunscreen perfect for summer beach day

First all I love how light the formulation is. It doesn't weigh down my screen at all and doesn't make it look oily. I think the consistency is little liquidy and makes mess when you try to use it. Overall pretty good!!

Smooth and clean application

Smooth and clean application. Mind you I only tried this on my hands and neck because it's barely the beginning of spring. There was no residue on my scarf and my hands felt like they had nothing on. I look forward to testing this product in the summer to see how it handles sweat. Thank you to Butterly for this gift!

Great Sunscreen but leaves a white cast for hours

I wanted to love this sunscreen. I loved that it was a mineral sunscreen and it is very lightweight once you apply it to your skin. My main issue was the obvious white cast it left on my skin for hours. I usually love to just wear sunscreen and no makeup, but with this product, it was not possible. At first, it was very white then it gave me a weird blue tone. I don't think it is made for people with deep skin colors. I can see it would blend into a more fair skin tone but on darker people, we might need to use some makeup afterwards to cover the white cast. other than that is great, love all the benefits it offers and i would definitely use it for the beach or while hiking since it offers so much sun protection.

Takes time to blend it in

I received Blue Lizard SPF 50 mineral sunscreen for free from Butterly in exchange for my honest review.

Summer is fast approaching and that means it time to apply sunscreen, though it should be used for all seasons.

I was expecting this formula to be on the thicker side, but I had barely squeezed the tube when I got a lot more of product than needed.

The consistency is quite runny and you honestly don’t need lot of it, it spreads very easily but does take time to blend into the skin. I spent a good 2 minutes blending the product into my skin as there was a white cast showing on my brown skin.

After application, my skin felt very smooth almost like I applied moisturizer and there was no tackiness as you would find with other brands of sunscreen. I didn’t detect any scent and this gave my skin a dewy finish.

I like that this is UVA/UVB protection and up-to 80 minutes of it being water resistant.

Will for sure be reaching for this sunscreen especially when I’m out doing gardening.

This is a must for summer

This product is a must for summer. It is great for anyone that has sensitive skin. Went on really well to the skin. It was like I wasn’t wearing it at all.

Let me tell you about my new favorite sunscreen! It's like a little bottle of sunshine that I can carry with me everywhere. Not only does it keep my skin safe from sunburns, but it also feels so nice when I put it on. It's not sticky or heavy like some other sunscreens I've tried. Plus, it smells amazing – like a summer day at the beach. I feel good knowing that I'm taking care of my skin while enjoying the outdoors.
