LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. This eyeliner stays on my oily lids ALL DAY. I played beach volleyball for 3 hours in the scorching sun with this eyeliner on. I only had a very minimal smudge on my waterline, which didnt really bother me. The lasting power stayed on so well! It comes in a little pot, but a little bit goes a long way. It glides on smoothly, and gives u that perfect kind of intensity. I wear contacts as well, so this product does not irritate me whatsoever. Would I buy this again? YESSSS x1234567.
I was so excited to try this gel liner because I have such a hard time finding one that doesn't smudge. I've tried MAC and Maybelline but they all smudge.
Unfortunately the BB gel liner does not last on me, even if I apply powder shadow on top and smudge it, I seem to notice a bit of darkness under my eyes.
I'll probably stick to using liquid liners instead.
The Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner is the one product I find myself going back to every time I'm out of liner. It remains wet and you have to worry about it becoming flaky. I like to dip my brush from one side as I find it preserves the product better and the last line is as good as the first one. Easy to use with an angled brush or to push the colour in with a flat brush to make your eyes appear bigger. It has great wear and doesn't smudge. Very quick to dry because by the time you finish your second eye, your first eye is ready for lash curler/mascara.
Overall great product that will make your forget about all other gel liners.
I alternate between Bobbi Brown's gel liner and MAC's fluidline. To be honest, I think Fluidline is better. It's a bit less money and does not dry out as quickly. I've bought a few colors of Bobbi Brown's since I like the selection of blacks/caviar/graphite that have some subtle differences for a basic liner.
When it's new, they go on smoothly and last all day.
The downside is that it dries out a lot faster than Fluidline. I can use a Fluidline straight to the end, lasting 1-2 years. Bobbi Brown's starts to dry up after I'm about halfway through and it starts crumbling along the lash line and being quite thick.
I'd recommend it if you can use it up quickly; if you're not, Fluidline may be a better choice.
the BEST gel liner out there! my favourite by far for kitten flicks and i recently discovered its usefulness in a smokey eye, blended into a cream. this liner lasts all day and night without smudging or cracking, i've even managed to sleep in it and wake up with perfect flicks! impressed!
Love this eyeliner. goes on smooooooooth and laaaaaasts. I wear the brown during the day and the black at night for more drama......and the pot lasts forever too.....
Its along the lines of Fluideline. Its very very creamy, and did not have any trouble with it drying out on me. From this point of view its better than it Mac version, however it is not as pigmented and does not allow for a prcise, pigmented line as well as the Fluidline. I like it however, but I wish it ws richer in terms of colour.
It took me a while to decide whether or not I'd recommend this product. I paid $21 for this in the States, which is a bit more expensive than my normal eyeliner. However, I did like this product, and it doesn't smudge TOO much. There is still smudging especially when I go to a club, and it's not great for a rainy day, or when I'm at a particularly boring meeting (causing yawning, and therefore smudges).
However, it does stay longer than other eyeliners, and the quality is amazing. Upon application, the liner runs on very smoothly, and I never have any problems.
One of my eyes however is a monolid, meaning I have a hooded eye. this makes application super hard because my skin is very elastic and will drag along with the eyeliner, hence creating mistakes.
This eyeliner is just OKAY when it comes to that problem, I will still make mistakes, but i'm usually able to smudge it away.
I cannot say I absolutely would RAVE about this product, but so far, it's my favourite. I however, would want to try out the MAC Fluidline to see a comparison.
This is one of the BEST gel eyeliners out there!!! It is everything you dreamed of and more: Waterproof, smudge proof, long lasting, perfect for "the smokey eye!"
You do need to purchase the eyeliner brush for application, but its well worth the investment in order to get a really thin, clean eyeliner look. You can also use the eyeliner for the famous "cat eye" look. I LOVE this gel eyeliner WAY better than liquid. I feel the liquid sometimes gets on your lashes and wets them down. The gel based is more dry so if you get a little on your lashes it will not affect curling them with your lash curler.
Not only can you wear it as eyeliner, but you can apply it on the lid as a base and add metallic eyeshadow on top to create a more dramatic "smokey eye" look! It also comes in a variety of colors from black to violet to green! Its simply the best and I love the multi use that I get from it and for only $21!!!!
I am not giving this product a perfect Five-Stars because I am still getting used to applying it. It takes me 2 minutes to apply a pencil eye-liner, but I spent 25 minutes with this gel eyeliner and a bunch of tissues last saturday night. I am fully aware that the problem comes from me and my slightly trembling hand, but the gel dries up so quickly that if I make a mistake, the gel would have dried up (mistake and all) before I have reached out for the Q-tips. Besides that, it's a wonderful eye-liner! It stays on for a loooong time (compared to the pencil eyeliners that seem to get smudged, wiped out or magically disappear within a couple of hours). It's quality is very high and my friends tell me that the container lasts a long time, so I am willing to overlook the high price for the eyeliner brush, If only I learn how to apply it...
