I was looking for a protein drink to add with my meals. I tried this boost as lots told me it was good. I found it way too sweet and had a huge chalky taste to it when I drank it. Needless to say once I was done with my pack I never bought anymore.
i received this product as part of the chickadvisor product review club.
unfortunately, it failed to satisfy my hunger so I had to eat something afterwards.
I found the taste to be intense and unpleasant, as well as overly sweet. Sugar and corn syrup are 2 of its top 4 ingredients.
For these reasons, I would not use this product again.
While it tasted really good, it really did nothing for me at all. It's supposed to be a meal replacement, but I ended up eating something else after finishing the Boost drink, which kind of defeats the purpose. There are lots of essential vitamins, and minerals, as well as being low in calories and saturated fats. This still isn't enough to make me buy it again, especially at the cost.

I was not quite sure what to expect out of Boost High Protein meal replacement shake.
It comes in a small bottle with an easy twist off cap – and takes only a few minutes to drink it (if you do not guzzle it down). It is a thinner consistency than a milkshake, but thicker than normal milk.
I had the Vanilla flavour over the last week, and although it tastes delightful, I still have to eat my homemade oatmeal afterwards to actually feel full and feel like I have had some nutrients.
Reading the label in comparison with my current Protein powder, it is slam packed with sugar (or different variants of). My chronic fatigue is agitated by sugars, so I felt pretty lethargic and like a cold was coming on most of the week.
My current powder (which is also vanilla and tastes amazing mixed with milk) has 0 grams of sugar, is 80 calories with 1% fat, and 18 grams of protein. Its ingredients are also natural – protein powder, beef protein isolate, stevia, natural vanilla flavour, and coconut oil powder. That’s it.
In comparison, Boost has 27 grams of sugar, is 240 calories with 5% fat, and 15g of protein. Its top 5 ingredients are water, sugar, milk protein concentrate, corn syrup, and vegetable oil…
To me, that is not a very positive comparison.
Overall, I am not going to be a repeat Boost Customer based on the sugar content alone – I can only attribute morning sugar with my total lethargy and regressed sleeping issues for the week.
*** I received this item at a reduced or no cost for my fair and fabulous review ***
Editor's Note: There are only 15 grams of sugar in BOOST® High Protein Vanilla.
