This is a moisturizer - the texture of this reminds me of Jello (because it's like a gel-balm). Which may be why people can mistaken it to be a sleeping pack. When you apply the product to your face it will liquid and absorb pretty quick. Unlike a sleeping pack which is a gel texture but it sits on top of your skin locking in moisture. Which leaves a film that you rinse off in the morning. I have normal to oily skin - it hasn't broken me out - in fact it's actually improved the texture and the pore size of my skin.
