The reason I purchased this eye shadow palette was because it was very inexpensive, had lots of shades and they were all wearable colours, which I felt would be great for everyday wear. The case itself is pretty sturdy and it comes with 4 sponge-tip applicators, which I don't use. I prefer my own brushes, however, if you're travelling, these still could come in handy. The consistency is average. It's a little on the powdery/chalky side but it still applies pretty well, without too much fallout. The pigmentation is decent, although some of the darker shades are more pigmented than some of the lighter ones. You also have a good range of highlighting and contouring shades. I do think it's a great palette for beginners and at the price you're paying, it won't break the bank if you do decide it's not working for you. I purchased mine for about 3 dollars, which is a real bargain. I do find myself reaching for some shades in this palette that I don't have anywhere else in my collection, therefore it's a nice addition that serves it's purpose.
