Breville has done it again!
The Grind Control has proven to be one of, in my opinion, the best at home coffee makers. Compared to its now discontinued counterpart; the Breville YouBrew, With it's built in grind control feature and calibration function, you'll be making the perfect cup of coffee in no time. Now we all know that coffee beans that are ground just before brewing make for the absolute best possible tasting coffee. The Grind Control features a bean hopper with a capacity 0.5lbs of fresh coffee beans. The grind adjustment knob is located next to the bean hopper which has 6 settings 1 being the finer and 6 being the coarser. Located under the bean hopper is cleaning brush which makes for easier cleaning of the grinding burrs and coffee grinds chute, which now opens automatically when the bean hopper is unlocked, unlike its counterpart.

This 12 cup(60oz) tank is easily accessed by a flip-top lid located in the front for easy filling. When you fill the tank with water the machine will turn on. Another great function of this machine; automatic power on and off. The LCD display is where you find the control panel. Here is where you can adjust the setting to make your perfect cup of coffee. Choose from a single cup, ranging from 8-20oz, or a carafe, 2-12 cups kept incredibly warm in the Double-wall Stainless Steel Thermal Carafe (TIP- warm the carafe for 30 seconds with hot water before brewing, temperature changes when brewing into a cool carafe it cup can reduce the temp of coffee by up to 30degrees Fahrenheit) Adjust the strength setting, the settings range from 1- 8 1 being the weakest and 8 being the strongest. Pretty straight forward. I recommend starting on 4 and adjusting from there. This where it's up to you. It may take a few brew cycles until you find you perfect cup; but when you do you'll be pleasantly surprised at the difference this coffee maker can make in your life. Coffee lovers beware !!! Fresh water and fresh beans make all the difference.

One thing I haven't touched on in this review is the Calibration function. I have yet to be able to try it, when I do I will definitely post a review on the difference, if any it makes to brewing coffee for this coffee lover. It seems very technical but in sure it's a piece of cake!
