Low calories low on flavour

I was given a voucher from chickadvisor to try the Raspberry Fudge flavour for free. The price was comparable to the other pints in the freezer but the taste was not! It was not smooth, I felt ice crystals in it. And the flavour was severely lacking in the rich creaminess that I would look for in an ice cream treat. I'd rather just eat a smaller portion of the original if I'm watching my calorie intake and be satisfied with that.

I received a coupon for this product, the original purchase price I thought was quite expensive, the product was rich and creamy with a strong raspberry flavour, I expected at least a few real raspberries so was some what disappointed

Didn't hit the mark..

Let me start by saying that Chocolate Raspberry is hands down, my favourite flavour combo! Please imagine my thrill at being selected to try the new Breyer's Delights ice cream!

I had to hunt for it though..shoppers was sold out but after a few tries I was finally able to snag one.

So - the ice cream itself is a lovely fluffy light texture. The fudge is nice and soft but leaves a weird after taste. I appreciate the calorie count of course, with folks wanting the treat without the guilt..but I'd rather have one small scoop of the real thing and all the flavours, than a cup full of something that didn't hit the mark.
The price - it was 4.98, which let's face it, is cheaper than a scoop or two at ice cream parlours - so there's that to keep in mind. But I am sad at the marriage of the two flavours just missing the target of creating delight.

Great Raspberry taste, but bitter fudge.

I really liked the raspberry taste of this frozen dessert, it was real and fresh tasting however the fudge sauce part left a bitter taste in my mouth. I would buy it again if it was just the raspberry without the fudge part. I also think it's a bit of stretch to advertise it as low-cal, as it is not much less than regular ice cream per half cup. I think it is a bit misleading, as most other brands that have this calorie logo, is actually for the entire container. The price for the container was $7.99 which is extremely high too.

If I could eat around the fudge would. . .

The texture of this frozen dessert is very pleasant and the raspberry base is delightful! That being said I am very disappointed in the fudge aspect of this product. It tastes like a fake chocolate product with a funny lingering aftertaste. If I could only eat the base I would buy it again and again but I am not a fan of the fudge inclusion. That being said, it is still not a bad dessert option for the calories. It has a better mouth feel than some other lower calorie frozen desserts. #tryBreyersdelight #gotitfree
