My disclaimer is that I don't like banana ice cream because of my fear of that terrible banana taste from medicine when I was a kid!

BUT - this was pretty darn good, I will admit.

I had my family try it out as well and they were on board - creamy, not too strong on the banana flavour, and generally good.

It won't be my first choice, but it's a fun alternative to serve up at a party!

I have a confession...I actually hate banana ice cream desserts. However, I received the lovely Breyers package from the Product Review Club and thought I'd give it a try and offer the dessert to friends when they came to visit. Although this flavour would not be my first choice, I personally found this dessert to be delicious. The ice cream had bits of graham crackers and the banana flavouring was rich and creamy. On the other hand, almost all my friends LOVED the ice cream! After tasting the ice cream at my place, a few of my friends went straight to the supermarket to pick up the ice cream for themselves!

I have to say this was the favorite flavor my family liked with the bits of graham crackers mixed in with the creamy taste of the banana ice cream yuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmy.It really did taste like banana cream pie in icecream form lol I would definitely buy it again but its a little on the pricey side but this one is well worth it :)

This was the second ice cream I reviewed. I had to go to a couple of stores to find it - and actually was not looking forward to a banana flavored ice cream - especially investing $9 when i can just add a banana.
Well was I surprised!.. I do get the impression that Breyers is heading toward a luxury/ gourmet product. They achieve it with this product.
The unexpected crunch of the the graham crackers in contrast with the mild banana flavor impressed me. I would serve it accompanying the dark chocolate on a platter with some strawberries and perhaps with a side of some hot caramel.

oh and i have to mention, that visually i like the way the ice cream looks.. just adds even more to the "gourmet" appeal.

After I got my wonderful package from Breyers through the product review club, I had to think of the perfect place to try these flavors.... I took them to a friends summer bbq and the banana cream pie flavor was a hit! I don't think there are too many banana ice cream options on the market and this one (like all breyers double churn ice creams) was creamy and tasty, without a fake banana taste. It tasted like creamy banana and I loved the graham cracker pieces.... The only disadvantage was the price. I usually buy breyers when it's on sale because regular price, this ice cream is $9/carton (usually goes on sale for $4.99). I would buy it again (when it's on sale). My husband who loves banana desserts especially loved it and it was also popular with the kids at the party!

First of all, I received a big box in the mail. When I opened it, it was an elegant looking Breyers box. When I opened the Breyers box, it was so pretty inside. It had 3 spoons attached to an enveloppe along with a letter from Breyers and three bowls. It also had 3 coupons for 3 cartons of ice cream, which were Dark Chocolate Velvet, Banana Cream Pie and Chocolate Cheesecake. It was all placed on this beautiful green silk cloth.
The first one I tried was the Banana Cream Pie. I went to my local grocery store and they did not have any of the three that I had to review. So I went over to the corner store and they had this one.
As soon as I got home, I opened the ice cream up, grabbed one of the spoons and a bowl, and enjoyed the delicious taste of the ice cream with my boyfriend. We both couldn't believe how good this kind was. It was so delicious, creamy and full of banada flavor. It tasted just like a banana cream pie!!!! It was soooooooo good. It was my favorite kind out of the three. In fact, it is my new favorite ice cream. Although, at the store, it was selling for just under $9.00, it is pretty expensive, but worth every penny.

I was really excited to try this flavour of ice cream (and a bit worried that it wouldn't measure up and I'd be disappointed) but I'm happy to say it was every bit as good as I thought it would be!

I love the full-body banana flavour! I also adored the graham through it....others have mentioned it tasted gritty to them but, to me, it added to the flavour and worked well with the flavour it is!

I think the only thing I find disappointing is the cost. We buy Breyer's Double-Churned Ice Cream a lot but we tend to wait until it is on sale because it's regular price (anywhere from 6.99-8.99 locally) is a LOT for ice cream!

I'd definitely recommend it though....SUPER YUMMY!

This was the second flavour that I tried out of the three and it was one that I was pretty excited for. I thought the ice cream flavour itself was really, really good. I didn't find it too rich and loved the mix of the grahm flavour throughout each bite. And I really liked how it wasn't grahm pieces it was kind of like a ribbon so you pretty much taste it with every spoonfull. I didn't find it as creamy as the cheesecake flavour, but you could really taste the banana, which I thought was really good because I think that when trying to bring out fruit flavours in ice cream it can really be a hit or miss.
Overall, I found it enjoyable. We ate it for dessert one night and everyone seemed to really like it and even asked for seconds :)

I have to say that this was my favourite out of the three flavours I tried, and that means a lot because i HATE banana. The banana flavour is very mild and blends nicely with the cream flavour and graham crumb swirls. I really liked that they graham part of the ice cream still had a bit of crunch and was not completely smooth and added an extra texture to the creamy ice cream. I also liked that the ice cream as a whole was not sickeningly sweet as some other "dessert" flavour ice cream is.

I would definatly buy this ice cream again (even at the $6.99 price) and definitely recommend it.

I get this HUGE package in the mail, I almost didn't want to open it because I didn't order anything lately. So when I open it, out comes this neat package from Breyer's....

It was so cute I HAD to take pictures, and I was dying to see what was inside this box. At first I was like "this can't be the ice cream in here, they must be crazy"....turns out that they gave me three bowls and spoons so I can share with friends and family...what a wicked idea

The Banana Cream Pie was ON POINT ....I can say that this one is my favourite out of the three. You know the graham pieces that go on the bottom of cheesecakes? Well it's in this ice cream (come to think of it, they should have put that graham pieces in the Chocolate Cheesecake ice cream)

The only problem is that I'm not sure if this ice cream is worth the $6.99...it should be cheaper
