My family all loved the new Breyers Smooth & Dreamy Ice Cream! We tried the natural vanilla bean, mostly because I thought it would be the most revealing of the true level of richness and natural flavour. Well, Breyers pulled it off

Even without added chocolate, sweet treats or fruit to bolster the flavours, Breyers Smooth and Dreamy natural vanilla bean is a flavorful, rich, smooth and creamy dessert with only 120 calories per half cup!! It is extremely satisfying and delicious. I am delighted to recommend this treat. (Even for us Chicks that are watching our food choices and moving in a healthier direction!!) Thank you Breyers!

As part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club I decided to try the Dulce de Leche Breyer's Smooth & Dreamy ice cream. I just love caramel swirls in my ice cream so this flavour was definately a great choice for me. As far as ice cream comparisons goes - this one was pretty delicious. The texture was very smooth and very creamy and guess what ladies (and men) - HALF THE FAT!!. Although HALF THE FAT, it didn't really taste "light" and it's pretty comparable to the Full Fat Breyer's ice creams. I've tasted several "light" ice creams in the past with a lot of disappointment as they always taste a little funny, watered down, which wasn't the case with Breyer's Smooth & Dreamy. I wouldn't even know that the ice cream was half the fat unless I read it on the packaging or someone told me. Perhaps it's the breakthrough new Cream Press System that is used to make this product which breaks apart the cream into tiny droplets and spreads them out throughout the ice cream??? Ah the Breyer's Smooth & Dreamy mystery!!!!

I would definatley recommend this ice cream as an ice cream, not necessarily as a "Half the Fat" alternative. My girlfriends' are going to love me for letting them try this product - I'm throwing a girl's night out on Friday and we'll eat lots of this product, that is if I actually have some left by this weekend.

I was very excited to have the opportunity to review the Breyers Smooth & Dreamy Dulce de Leche Ice Cream, as I eat their ice cream products on a regular basis.
The quality - like all Breyers products - was high end, very rich, creamy and decadent. The best part though, was knowing that with half the fat of their regular ice cream products, it only makes this a relatively guilt free treat.
The price is a bit high ( and I hope to see it on sale soon), but overall I would definitely recommend it for sure!

As part of the product review club I got to try Breyer's Smooth and Dreamy 1/2 fat ice cream (and it was on sale for 5$). Despite living in a big city I needed to go to 3 grocery stores to find it and when I did all they had was vanilla which I wouldn't have been my first choice if all the flavours were there. That being said both me and my toddler liked it. It's got a nice creamy texture and it's very sweet. It's great to have a 1/2 fat ice cream for both myself and the kids especially with summer season and more ice cream eating. I will buy some of the other flavours if I can find them in my local stores. I think this is a nice ice cream and people should try it.

I ended up getting the Dulce De Leche flavour! First off...the tub is HUGE?!?! Was it just me or does this seem like a LOT more icecream then the normal 'icecream tub'?!? This flavour was delicious!!! Maybe a little too delicious...as the container didn't last all that long! My only complaint would be that it might be just a little too rich...(I really can't believe I would even say that...but hey...I'm just being honest here!!!) Perfect for that nice little snack after a meal though...or with a movie...or in the tub...oh man...it would probably be good anywhere!!! ENJOY!!!!

I tried the Dulce de Leche flavour from the Breyer's Smooth and Dreamy line. I didn't really like this ice cream. The dulce de leche swirl in it was good but the rest of the ice cream had a very bland flavour and a strange texture. It was a bit thicker than soft serve ice cream but with a strange sticky and foamy texture to it. I realize that this was a half the fat type of ice cream but I have had other fat free or low fat ice creams that were much better. Depending on where you buy it, it's about $8-$10 for a large tub (a bit under 2 litres) which is a lot more than most ice creams, and way too much for ice cream that doesn't really taste good.

Maybe the other flavours are better, but i would not recommend this ice cream.

I love the chocolate velvet..it as such a great taste and you can easily tell it's not the cheap kind of icecream.
Yes, some may think that it's expensive but once you tasted Breyers, it's very easy to understand that you pay for quality icecream.
I recommend it 100%..a must try at least once.

I received a coupon for this product as part of the review club, and I decided to use it on the Smooth & Dreamy 'bars' - the chocolcate/chocolate ones... and let me just say... Oh My Goodness, I have never in my life! These bars are so good (not your average ice cream bar, that's for sure!)! They are 3-levels of chocolately goodness... chocolcate ice cream (and it is indeed extremely SMOOTH tasting) with chocolate chips/chunks, and coated in dark chcolcate (hence the 3 layers) - too good to fully describe, but just take my word for it! If you dont' want to shell out the $7/box that you might otherwise pay, wait for a sale adn just buy them once - you won't regret it (and will probably be paying $7/box without even thinking about ever after!!)!

Breyers smooth and dreamy was great!! I went for the Mocha Fudge Brownie, I loved the chunks of brownie in it! And the ice cream itself is very smooth, it doesnt even taste like its half the fat! Usually if its half the fat, it kinda tastes off, but the smooth and dreamy tasted full flavoured.

I would buy it again, however only as a treat as the price was a bit pricey to me $7.99 at walmart

I opted to try the Dulce de Leche flavour of Breyer's Smooth & Dreamy ice cream (half the fat) because I'm not a huge chocolate fan, but I love all things caramel.

As far as ice cream goes this one was really good. I found it very smooth and very creamy. It had the perfect consistency and amazing flavour. The caramel swirl in the ice cream was so yummy! Compared to other full fat ice creams, this one tasted very similar. I tested Breyer's Double Churn ice cream last year, and I must say this Smooth & Dreamy was easily as delicious and enjoyable as the full fat alternative from Breyer's. I also found the Smooth & Dreamy to be considerably better than other low/half fat ice creams. I usually find other reduced fat ice creams to taste a little gritty, but the Breyer's Smooth and Dreamy was not like this at all. There is something about the way they make this ice cream that makes it taste as rich and creamy as any full fat ice cream, and to be perfectly honest, it might have even been more smooth and creamy than many full fat ice creams I've tried.

I highly recommend this ice cream on its own merit as an ice cream (not just a reduced fat alternative). If you love ice cream, but want something lower in fat this is the best option out there, it tastes just as good, if not better than other full fat/full calorie ice creams.
