I received three flavours of Brookside Chocolate Tablet Bars as part of Chickadvisor's product review club. I loved the combination of the dark chocolate and blueberries, it complemented each other nicely. Also the almonds added some crunch which was really nice!

I received my bars and could not wait to indulge, I am not a strong lover of dark chocolate it depends on what it is paired with .The Brookside Blueberry Almond i think is my favorite i loved the way the blueberries sweetened the bitterness of the dark chocolate which was not as bitter as i expected it to be .It was rich and creamy, The almonds which are one of my favorite nuts gave it the crunch. Over all i loved the different textures and flavor combo with each bite and i have to confess the bar did not last a day .

I really enjoy this flavour of the Brookside chocolate bars because of the big peices of blueberries. This gives the smooth dark chocolate a chewy texture and the almonds add some crunch. I didn't get very much of the acai flavour but this bar is delicioua anyways! If only you could close up the chocolate to save for later so i'm not tempted to eat it all in one sitting.

I received three flavours of the Brookside Chocolate Tablet Bars courtesy of Chickadvisor's product review club. I've had the chocolate covered blueberries from Brookside before and absolutely loved them. These tablet bars were just as good and the bluberry flavoured ones reminded me of them. There are tiny bits of candied blueberries inside along with chopped almonds. I like how these aren't as sweet and pairs nicely with the bitterness of the dark chocolate. Smooth and delicious!

I absolutely loved the combination of the dark chocolate and the sweet dried blueberries. The acai flavour was also nice to balance the bitterness of the dark chocolate. It also has a nice crunch of the almond all throughout the entire bar from first to last bite!

I received 3 different flavors of Brookside dark Chocolate bars through the chickadvisor product review club. I was really excited to try these bars because I love the Brookside dark chocolate Açai & Blueberry little dark chocolate balls and the dark chocolate Mango and Mangosteen. The Blueberry almond with Acai flavor tablet bar was a close second favorite for me. I loved the high quality dark chocolate and natural tasting blueberry flavor. I can definitely see myself purchasing this bar.

Product Review Club!!

I had the opportunity to taste 3 different flavours of Brookside DARK Chocolate bars through the product review club. I have had Brookside Chocolate before through a few of their different chocolate covered fruit items (chocolate covered blueberries and acai berries have always been my favourite) so I was really looking forward to trying in the chocolate bar form and I wasn't disappointed!

The 3 flavours I tried were; Blueberry Almond with Acai Flavour, Tart Cherry Crisp with Pomegranate Flavour and Mango Coconut Crisp.

Blueberry Almond with Acai Flavour: Definitely my favourite, it tasted just like the chocolate covered berries that I love so much. It is a rich flavour but not too sweet and also does a really good job at mixing the flavours of blueberry, acai and almond, with real pieces of blueberry and almond. The combination of all the flavours flow really well together and taste amazing. I also found it great as I'm starting a new meal plan that doesn't include much sweets, so the chocolate bars are great because you can break a square off or even break a square off and break it in half for a smaller piece and I found that to be satisfying enough for dessert after dinner AND it's great for sharing.

Tart Cherry Crisp with Pomegranate Flavour: This one was a very close first! It tasted a bit similar to the blueberry almond. I found with this one that you can really taste the tart cherry at first but then it is quickly diluted with the bitter sweetness of dark chocolate. The flavour really reminded me of cherry chocolates (the ones you buy around christmas) which I LOVE to eat around christmas time but wouldn't want to eat them all year round. This one was also my boyfriends favourite, I think because of the tartness and he really likes sour/tart flavours. The one thing I really enjoyed about this one is the crispiness which they created with something similar to a rice krispy cereal piece but it adds a nice crunch when you're indulging.

Mango Coconut Crisp: This one was definitely my least favourite out of the three. It was the one I ate the least of which is kind of crummy because I was really looking forward to trying this one. I feel like this one probably would have been better without the mango, I love coconut flavoured anything and I get what they were going for, but I feel like this might be a new flavour that they were experimenting with and failed a bit. There are real pieces of mango in the bar which I feel are just too overpowering and it doesn't really taste like mango as it does orange. You can barely taste the coconut but sometimes you get a random bite where you CAN taste it but then it just ends up tasting like chocolate sunscreen and a bit like Mango Malibu Rum. One thing I did like (as I mentioned in the above review) was the crispiness. Very satisfying when you chew!

Overall Brookside Chocolate can do no wrong. They make really good quality products that are super tasty, alot of natural ingredients and aren't as bad for you as some of the commercial chocolate bars you see at your grocery store checkout line.

If you want to try it out, start with their chocolate covered fruit items, you can buy them in large bags AND snack size bags usually found in the chocolate and candy isle at the grocery store.

this bar has full flavor and no bad after taste the chocolate is dark with a mild creamy taste... i love the bite size pieces and the packaging is nice.i like that the foil is the same color as the fruits in the bar!!!this has a nice aroma and i love the blueberry and acai as it wakes up my taste buds!!! i was lucky and received this bar to review... i will be buying this in the future ..its like a gourmet chocolate treat .

If you like dark chocolate and unique flavours you will love this bar! Each of the ingredients is very noticeable but they also blend together very well. Everything about these bars are high quality. Great flavour, wonderful packaging and attractive product.

The dark, rich chocolate is amazing. I love the crunchiness that goes with it. I hardly tasted the blueberry or Acai but the almond was delicious. I love the design of the chocolate and the size of each square is perfect for a serving. I would probably buy this one on sale. Thanks Chickadvisor for allowing me to try this chocolate tablet bar for free.
