The dark chocolate in this bar is so good! This bar is the sweetest of the three that I tried. It has kind of a tropical flavor that isn't for everyone; although I really enjoyed it. The chocolate is sweet and not too bitter as some high quality chocolate bars tend to be. I would eat one piece after supper and it would satisfy my sweet tooth! I would definitely buy this again!

I did not really like the Chocolate Bar in Mango Coconut Crunch because of the combination of mango and coconut chunks. It had a nice flavour to the dark chocolate but it tasted too sweet. The strong taste of mango made it hard for me to actually taste the coconut pieces in the chocolate bar. Great quality of chocolate but the blended mixture of dried coconut and mango chunks did not seem to appeal to my palate. I think I'll need to buy some now, maybe it will change my opinion but for now I didn't really like eating this chocolate bar out of the three.

For a chocolate bar this doesn't taste like chocolate at all. I found the sunscreen scent phony and overpowering, and while the bar delivers nice texture and an okay flavour, I wouldn't select it for a treat when there are so many other good options.

I thought this chocolate was a very high quality chocolate starting with the wrapper
The outside wrapper was very appealing with a orangey gold foil strip that matched the inside wrapper which was a fancy foil orangey gold. The orange being incorporated for the mango.
The chocolate itself was etched with trees and patterned blocks and the words Brookside. It was divided into different sectioned pieces so you could have a lot or a little.
The chocolate itself had a very nice crunch to it from the crispy rice and it had the perfect amount of chewy dried mango bits. The mango was very sweet and paired nicely with the dark chocolate.
The chocolate also had a very strong but pleasant fruit scent to it. Overall it was a decadent chocolate and I enjoyed it very much.
I was a however a little disappointed because I did not taste any coconut and I really like coconut. In the title it makes you assume it is a main ingredient but i it does not appear till the bottom of the ingredients. It is however a great chocolate bar but not if you want a coconut taste.

This was the least favourite of the 3. Mostly in part because neither myself or the BF like Mango.

Overall, the mango played nicely with the dark chocolate to create a wonderful flavour. It just wasn't our cup of tea.

I received Brookside Chocolate Tablet Bar in Mango Coconut Crunch for free in the mail as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. This was one of three bars I tried: Blueberry Amond with Acai Berry Flavour and Tart Cherry Crisp with Pomegranate Flavour being the other two I tested. I have to say, I loved this bar best of all three. Even my boyfriend who hates fruit actually enjoyed this bar. We literally had to share it down the middle whereas the other two bars, he wasn’t even interested.

The first thing I noticed was that the packaging makes it quite easy to save a portion of the bar for later. All you have to do is make sure you open the inside wrapper like a chip bag from the top so that it still covers the surface of the bar, then just place it back in the cardboard outer wrapping. This is especially useful for those of us who try to indulge our chocolate cravings in moderation or are utilizing a portion-control diet management system. I can’t say I left much of anything for later when I tried this one though. It was gone in one sitting between the two of us.

When I first opened the bar, the first smell I noted was that of mango and coconuts. Unlike the other two bars, this one’s name held fully and completely true to the name. I could taste and smell both the mango and the coconut in the chocolate in clear proportions. I loved how the coconut and the mango melded together for such a tasty texture in your mouth. It didn’t stick nearly as much as the blueberry pieces did in the other bar I tasted. This bar just seemed to provide such a unique experience. I don’t think I’ve had a chocolate bar before this with mango in it. It’s definitely not your usual chocolate, nut, caramel, cookie combination.

Unlike many dark chocolate bars, this one was not particularly bitter, almost having the quality of 50% cocoa as opposed to 70% or higher. If you prefer your dark chocolate strong as noted in bars of 70% cocoa or higher, you may find this bar too sweet to your liking. If you are someone who likes a sweeter bar, closer to middle of the road sort of cocoa content, you will probably enjoy it. You may even like it if you like milk chocolate. Overall this is a great product I will definitely be buying again if I see it in the local stores.

I received this Brookside Chocolate Tablet Bar to try and review for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. Mango Coconut Crunch was definitely my favourite of three all delicious chocolate bars.

The quality of the chocolate was great as was the textures and flavours. This was definitely one of the more unique flavours of chocolate that I have tried. I don’t think I normally would pick this flavour out in stores but it was definitely worth a try.

Delicious and different from any other chocolate I have tried. I like the tropical spin with the flavours. I would definitely consider buying these chocolates again and buy them as gifts for friends.

Trying these chocolate bars for review was such an amazing opportunity! I love dark chocolate, and adding mango and coconut was such a sweet surprise! Crunchy coconut added a great texture, and I loved the mango taste to give it a little flair and summery sweet taste. I would recommend this bar 100 times over!
