I love dark chocolate and I was extremely excited when I was chosen to review Brookside Chocolate Tablet bars. The first thing I noticed about the coconut and Mango flavor was the smell, it smells like alcohol Malibu to be more accurate. This is in my opinion too sweet and the dark chocolate taste I love is lost in all the sugar and additional flavors.

This is one of the 3 samples I received from the Chickadvisor Product Review Club, and is the one I was most looking forward to trying, because I love the Kirkland dark chocolate with mango from Costco. This totally failed to live up to my expections. The mango taste was very articifical, and the chocolate is of a lower quality. There is a lot of coconut taste though.

I really did not enjoy this flavor of this. I am not sure how to explain it. It tasted more like mango oil than mango. I LOVE mango so was excited to try this. This does not make me like brookside any less they have amazing chocolate just would not purchase this flavor again.

This is another Brookside Chocolate Tablet Bar that I received free through the product review club. The label says there is coconut in this product but I certainly couldn't taste any or the mango for that matter. Upon opening, it smelled a bit like coconut scented sunscreen but I couldn't detect any bits. It is very sweet and just leaves an overall unpleasant taste in my mouth. Again it says it is a Dark Chocolate but if you are looking for the 'real stuff' look elsewhere! Will pass it along to friends to give it a try! Would definitely pass this one by if I saw it in stores! I now need to brush or eat something else that will kill the taste left in my mouth!

This is disappointing as I do enjoy other Brookside products!

This was my least favourite of the three bars I tried. Mango and coconut in my opinion should never be paired together. Sad though as I like the two seperate. I found the two flavours too intense for my taste buds and the mango too potent for the chocolate. I do however like the dark chocolate the Brookside puts with these bars. Very tasty and not many calories for a few squares. I actually like the visual stamping of the trees and such they put on the chocolate bars. It's cute. Price is pretty good for the quality of the chocolate. I would never buy this specific one ever but I will buy the brookside brand.

Brookside drops the ball with the Mango coconut crunch bar. The aroma is repulsive as is the taste. This chocolate wouldn't even be good for baking or decorating with. Totally disappointed with this one. The after taste is vile. Overall, this chocolate bar doesn't pass the test.

The chocolate itself was good, the cocoa taste was good

smooth and consistant not too sweet.

However the mango coconut tasted off to me..
mango flavour wasn;'t as fruitful as I thought, more synthetic

cocnut was too much, for me it didn't work well.

Maybe others would prefer, I didn't.

I liked the crunch though, that was different added flavour

Thank you ChickAdvisor for the free to try sample of this product. This bar was bar far the worst of the set. It was chewy and had an odd aftertaste. The Mango also smelled and tasted synthetic; a comment both by myself and my bf who shared the bar with me. We were actually surprised that this was the worst bar since we were both most excited for this one. The mouth feel wasn't right for a chocolate bar. Brookside needs to scrap this bar and come up with a new recipe/flavour combination.

I got a bar of this chocolate sent to me from Chick Advisor for free. Out of the 3 they sent me, this one was the worst. I tried one piece but couldn't even handle the smell of this chocolate bar, and that's saying something because I LOVE most chocolate. I would not buy this flavour again, but would try their other flavours.
