I was expecting to taste a tart cherry but was not tart nor did I taste the pomegranate flavour. So was alittle disappointed but the dark chocolate was tasty not bitter.

I received this chocolate tablet for free to review, thank you Chick-Advisors. First of all I think the packaging is over kill . Ok now that's of off my mind on with the Tart Cherry Crisp with pomegranate flavor is a delight not overly sweet but really couldn't taste the tart cherry as much as I was anticipating. I think this is more of a adult Chocolate tablet. The flavors are refined the chocolate is smooth and there is a wonderful fruit smell when you open the wrapper. I am sure my grand children would be happy to have some but I think I will continue to give them the Brookside clusters and keep the Tablets for myself and my friends Would certainly go well with a nice glass of wine. For $3.69 I think this is good value for my money.

I liked this one, even though i typically hate cherry flavored anything. it was a mild flavor and in no way could i tell there was pomegranate in it either. nice and mild flavors compared to some of the other tablet bars. i would buy this bar again. The chocolate is good and not too chalky tasting like a lot of dark chocolate bars are, or too waxy like cheap chocolate is. very good balance.

Of the 3 bars I received from Chick Advisor, I expected this one to possibly be my least favourite - seeing the word "cherry" had me worried that it would taste like cough medicine. Not only was I pleasantly surprised, this also turned out to be my favourite of the 3! The tart cherry and pomegranate flavour blended well to give the dark chocolate a nice little kick and the addition of the rice crisp made this tablet bar kept the whole combination of flavours from being too heavy as well as giving it a nice crunch.

This was a little tart compared to the others. The chocolate was delicious however. I found it a bit drrier than the others as well. I couldn't taste too much of teh cherry flavor as well. I did not feel I wanted too much of it. I would not buy this one,

To say I wasn't sure what I would be tasting with this bar is an understatement. I love both cherry and pomegranate but I couldn't see them together. Well boy was I wrong!!! This is a very unique combination that with chocolate has your taste buds bellowing for more. The chocolate of course as always with Brookside is superior. It melts in your mouth and it holds the flavours together to make a delicious treat. If you have a sweet tooth then this is the bar for you. Your craving will be fulfilled while indulging in this decadent bar. This bar is sweet. I, myself, could only eat two tablets at the most because I found it quite sweet. But, that being said I would highly recommend it because it is really, really good.

I received Brookside Chocolate Tablet Bar in Tart Cherry Crisp with Pomegranate Flavour for free in the mail as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. The first thing I noticed was that the packaging makes it quite easy to save a portion of the bar for later. All you have to do is make sure you open the inside wrapper like a chip bag from the top so that it still covers the surface of the bar, then just place it back in the cardboard outer wrapping. This is especially useful for those of us who try to indulge our chocolate cravings in moderation or are utilizing a portion-control diet management system.

When I first opened the bar, the first smell I noted was that of chocolate and cherry. I did not detect any hints of pomegranate as the packaging suggested. This observation was also present when I tried the bar itself. I could not detect any hint of pomegranate, but that is not to say the bar was not enjoyable. Certainly, the bar tasted akin to eating a good quality chocolate covered cherry (one that presumably has crisp rice pieces) transformed into bar format. The extra bit of crunch the crisp rice provided was a nice touch with the tiny fruit pieces in the bar. The two textures melded well with the smooth chocolate.

Unlike many dark chocolate bars, this one was not particularly bitter, almost having the quality of 50% cocoa as opposed to 70% or higher. If you prefer your dark chocolate strong as noted in bars of 70% cocoa or higher, you may find this bar too sweet to your liking. If you are someone who likes a sweeter bar, closer to middle of the road sort of cocoa content, you will probably enjoy it. You may even like it if you like milk chocolate.

Overall this is a great product but don’t buy it if you are banking on the pomegranate flavor being the predominant sensation for your palate.

I've never been a big fan of dark chocolate, but was told to switch to it by my heart Dr., so being able to try the Brookside dark chocolate has been a great way for me to find something I can really enjoy. I have to say that this was my favourite out of the three we got to try. As soon as you open the package you can smell the cherries and the pomegranate just inviting you to take a bite. I do wish there was more fruit through out the bar, but the fruit it did have helped me to get past the bitterness of the dark chocolate and I actually ate pretty much the whole bar myself. It's at a selling price I would expect to pay for a chocolate bar of this size and quality and it would also make a nice small gift to cheer someone up. I'll be on the look out for this one for sure and I'd tell others to give it a try as well.

I received my box containing the 3 flavours to test and review #BrooksideChocolateBars, in the mail on January 19, 2016. I wasn't in the mood for chocolate at the time so I used my next best food foodie tester, my son Markus. Markus was quite impressed with the bitter sweet flavour of dark chocolate flavours mixed with a variety of fruits and nuts. Looks like we found a winner and future purchase will commence. A definite yes to brook side for a hearty, savioury chocolate snack bar. Great for bribing my son to do the dishes and clean up his room. You saved my sanity this week.

I like cherry chocolate. Cherry and dark chocolate makes a good combination. It didn't need the pomegranate flavour. I find pom flavour never really tastes like pom. But I mean some people might really be into pomegranate flavour. Was it added to make it taste more "healthy"? I'm not sure.

I'm very excited that brookside decided to make bars....it's much easier to transport in my very structured purse, and takes up much less space.

The bar has a clean break and good flavours. I'm a chocoholic and it did the job. I shared this at work and people did enjoy this bar. It wasn't my favourite though. I would recommend it since my coworkers did take a liking to this bar. Out of the 3 bars I got to try, I still prefer mango and coconut...flavours that are cleaner.

This is a good general eating bar, when I don't really want to think too deeply but just want to satisfy a craving for chocolate. It's good dark chocolate flavour, clean break, and good melt.

To me it's a different category then Soma single origin bars or other bean to bar manufacturers. It's not as good as Soma, but it's also not priced like Soma either.

It's a good eating bar that won't break the bank! I would recommend you give it a try. :-)
