I could hardly wait to break into this chocolate! It was DELISH!!! Brookside is a go to for amazing chocolate!

Very good combination of cherry and pomegranate. Very exciting flavour with a good taste. I love the dark chocolate. I recommand Brookside.

This bar was fantastic! Love the tart cherry flavor and texture of this bar. It was not sweet at all and the dark cherry really complimented the dark chocolate nicely. I would imagine this tasting excellent with a nice bold red wine! This bar satisfied my chocolate cravings and I would buy this again in the future! Yum!

My Brookside Dark Chocolate samples (3 full-size bars) arrived today and my husband and I went straight to the taste-test!
First of all, the packaging is just beautiful! I thought the paper outer package was really nicely designed, but then I got to the sealed foil within and I was surprised by the beautiful colours and printed embelishments ...... but it doesn't stop there! When you open the foil, you will find that the chocolate within is not divided in the same old basic squares. No, it's imprinted with the brookside tree logo and even the name across the middle of the bar! It was a great little adventure in chocolate.....and we hadn't even gotten to the tasting yet!
The taste, of course, was wonderful. The smooth, creamy, delicious chocolate flavour that I expect from Brookside, but I just loved the little zings of tart cherry and pomegranate. Personally I think I would prefer this one without the crunch, but that was a minor point and just a personal preference (my husband liked it just the way it is!)
This chocolate was a really fun experience from beginning to end and I will be buying it again. And I will definitly be looking for these tablet bars in the future for Christmas stockings, gift baskets, a small but lovely token to add to a greeting card .......

Upon opening, it smelled delightfully rich and fruity. It is reminiscent of Nestle's Crunch chocolate, although it is obviously a step above in terms of quality of the chocolate. The sweet and tart cherry/pomegranate pairs well with bitterness of the dark chocolate.

I'm not a huge fan of tangy/tart flavors, so this chocolate bar didn't spark much interest in me. However the texture was exceptional, so I would recommend it to anyone who loves sour fruity flavors. My craving and indulgence for chocolate was satisfied after eating these chocolates.

I received this bar courtesy of ChickAdvisor in exchange for an honest review. Let me start out by saying that I am a huge chocolate lover, and dark chocolate is definitely my favourite. The dark chocolate in this bar is wonderful, though a tad too sweet. The pomegranate and cherry flavors definitely come through but I could have used a bit more tartness as they are both quite tart fruits. I loved the rice crisps to add some texture.

Overall, this is a very tasty bar but I would have preferred a bit more of a complex taste rather than it being so sweet.

As a ChickAdvisor participant I did receive this at no cost. I figured this would be the flavour of the three that I would enjoy the most and it was. I do like cherry and chocolate together.

The only thing holding me back a couple of stars, the bar is much sweeter than the other flavours and after them it was quite noticeable. It's probably due to the pomegranate, so it might have been a good idea to temper the sweetness just a little. Side note; while I do eat a bit of chocolate each day, i generally don't eat candy bar or chocolate with anything more than nuts, so overall all the flavours were much sweeter than I'm used to. The other reason I held back a star was the blinkin' dried fruit bits that I have to dig out of my teeth with my tongue.

Overall the Brookside bars were a nice experience and for people who like stuff in their chocolate they offer some alternatives to overly sugary candy bars. Based on the pricing I've seen and the fact that I don't love the dried fruit I'm on certain I'm sold on this product, but it sure was fun to take and afternoon and try them out. And don't worry about leftovers, I'll force myself to finish them.

I like the quality of the chocolate and the tart fruit is great, along with the crisps. This was my favourite of the 3 bars that Chickadvisor sent me to try and review.
