I received three flavours of the Brookside Chocolate Tablet Bars courtesy of Chickadvisor's product review club. I'm usually not a fan of cherry flavoured desserts, but this one was actually pretty good, probably because of the slight pomegranate flavour. I also loved the crispy rice inside which gave it a nice texture. The cherry flavour does pair well with the dark chocolate so great for those who are fans of cherry flavoured sweets.

This one was my least favorite. I'm not a huge fan of tart or sour candies and altho it still had a decent flavour I don't see myself buying this one again in the future. I like a sweeter flavour when mixing it with the dark chocolate. The quality of the ingredients was really good so if you like a tart dessert this may be what you are looking for.

I received 3 different flavors of Brookside dark Chocolate bars through the chickadvisor product review club. I was really excited to try these bars because I love the Brookside dark chocolate Açai & Blueberry little dark chocolate balls and the dark chocolate Mango and Mangosteen. The tart cherry crisp with pomegranate flavor tablet bar was definitely my favorite! I loved the high quality dark chocolate, and the bar was a perfect balance of sweet and tart. I thoroughly enjoyed little cherry crisps as well; they added a nice texture. I am definitely going to be purchasing this flavor!

Product Review Club!!

I had the opportunity to taste 3 different flavours of Brookside DARK Chocolate bars through the product review club. I have had Brookside Chocolate before through a few of their different chocolate covered fruit items (chocolate covered blueberries and acai berries have always been my favourite) so I was really looking forward to trying in the chocolate bar form and I wasn't disappointed!

The 3 flavours I tried were; Blueberry Almond with Acai Flavour, Tart Cherry Crisp with Pomegranate Flavour and Mango Coconut Crisp.

Blueberry Almond with Acai Flavour: Definitely my favourite, it tasted just like the chocolate covered berries that I love so much. It is a rich flavour but not too sweet and also does a really good job at mixing the flavours of blueberry, acai and almond, with real pieces of blueberry and almond. The combination of all the flavours flow really well together and taste amazing. I also found it great as I'm starting a new meal plan that doesn't include much sweets, so the chocolate bars are great because you can break a square off or even break a square off and break it in half for a smaller piece and I found that to be satisfying enough for dessert after dinner AND it's great for sharing.

Tart Cherry Crisp with Pomegranate Flavour: This one was a very close first! It tasted a bit similar to the blueberry almond. I found with this one that you can really taste the tart cherry at first but then it is quickly diluted with the bitter sweetness of dark chocolate. The flavour really reminded me of cherry chocolates (the ones you buy around christmas) which I LOVE to eat around christmas time but wouldn't want to eat them all year round. This one was also my boyfriends favourite, I think because of the tartness and he really likes sour/tart flavours. The one thing I really enjoyed about this one is the crispiness which they created with something similar to a rice krispy cereal piece but it adds a nice crunch when you're indulging.

Mango Coconut Crisp: This one was definitely my least favourite out of the three. It was the one I ate the least of which is kind of crummy because I was really looking forward to trying this one. I feel like this one probably would have been better without the mango, I love coconut flavoured anything and I get what they were going for, but I feel like this might be a new flavour that they were experimenting with and failed a bit. There are real pieces of mango in the bar which I feel are just too overpowering and it doesn't really taste like mango as it does orange. You can barely taste the coconut but sometimes you get a random bite where you CAN taste it but then it just ends up tasting like chocolate sunscreen and a bit like Mango Malibu Rum. One thing I did like (as I mentioned in the above review) was the crispiness. Very satisfying when you chew!

Overall Brookside Chocolate can do no wrong. They make really good quality products that are super tasty, alot of natural ingredients and aren't as bad for you as some of the commercial chocolate bars you see at your grocery store checkout line.

If you want to try it out, start with their chocolate covered fruit items, you can buy them in large bags AND snack size bags usually found in the chocolate and candy isle at the grocery store.

I really enjoyed the tart cherry crisp pomegranate flavour Brookside chocolate bar. This bar has the smooth sweet dark chocolate with a slight tart cherry flavour and a hint of pomegranate with the addition of nice crisps to add texture. These chocolate bars are sweeter than most dark chocolate which is good for milk chocolate lovers. I wish i could taste the pomegranate flavour a little more but the chew of the fruit with the crunch of the crisp peices make this a very enjoyable bar!

Of the three flavours I was sent to try out, this was my favorite. The high quality of the bar is evident in both the ingredients and the packaging. The tartness worked very well with the dark chocolate. I found myself craving more after I put the bar away. The packaging and the look of the bar are very nice.

It took about half of the tablet bar to taste the cherry flavour. It was not overpowering from the dark chocolate. I did not taste the pomegranate flavour at all. I would like a bit more flavour in the whole bar. Once again, love the design and crunchiness of the bar.

This was my favourite Brookside chocolate bar flavour! Loved the tart cherries and crisp combination with dark chocolate! This definitely satisfied my craving and I would buy this again and recommend it to my friends and family! The only improvement I would suggest is the packaging! Even though it's pretty and fun to open, once it's opened, it's not that easy to store for later. Also, I guess there's no uniform way of breaking the chocolate in pieces. But I still loved the taste and quality of it!

Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed this, but I still prefer the original Brookside chocolates.
I really like how smooth Brookside chocolate is. It has the depth of flavor of good quality dark chocolate, but is still exceptionally smooth. This is probably my favorite thing about this chocolate bar.

However, this bar could use more fruit 'pieces', or fruit flavored pieces. That is what Brookside is known for- the fruit-flavored gummies! It could also use less rice crisps. It feels like these are being used a a filler rather than as a texture enhancer. This bar would be much better without them. Instead, this chocolate bar has cherry-flavored CHOCOLATE, with a limited amount of fruit pieces and a fair amount of rice crisp.

I constantly find myself munching on this. It totally satisfies my chocolate cravings, which are much too frequent. It's especially satisfying because it tastes so different from the chocolate bars I'm used to! I LOVE the cherry-pomegranate combination. Plus, I love sharing these chocolates with my friends, and they love receiving! It's divided into big pieces, and small pieces, so you can share without sharing too much, haha. I feel like these Brookside chocolate bars are PERFECT gifts if you want to really please someone without spending heaps of money.

All in all, I would definitely buy this again, but don't buy this simply because you like brookside! Buy this because it is a good quality chocolate bar and it is smooth, melts in your mouth, and has a delicious cherry-pomegranate flavor!

This chocolate is my favorite out of the three I received to review.
It's crunchy and has a berry taste. My daughter liked it too,
especially with apples. I would recommend this, it has a different
taste and It smells like a body butter!
