I was so lucky to have been able to try three flavours of the Brookside Chocolate Tablet Bars for free as part of the Chick Advisor Review Club. I really enjoyed the Brookside Dark Chocolate Tart Cherry Crisp with Pomegranate, it was my second favourite of the three bars I tasted (the other flavours are Blueberry Almond with Acai and Mango Coconut Crunch).

I have tried many different Brookside products and I find that they are a great quality company with really interesting mixtures. The chocolate table bars retail for an average of $3.69 and I think that this is a great deal and well worth the money.

The dark chocolate in the Tart Cherry Crisp with Pomegranate is rich and creamy with the perfect amount of sweet. You get a great combination of cherry, pomegranate crunch in each bite. It is chewy and crispy and tart and sweet all at the same time which I really liked.

Thanks ChickAdvisor for chosing me to try these three different brookeside chocolate so far I have only tired this one I really enjoy the pomegranate with the cherry crip my sons also enjoy it . I will enjoy purchase it and the price his reasonable . I will enjoy eating the other two when I get a chance I also love the fact that's it dark chocolate my favorite bonus .

I received the Brookside Chocolate Tablet Bar in Tart Cherry Crisp with Pomegranate Flavour as a part of their product review club. Of the three bars I received, this one had the least amount of fruity bits in it, although it lived up to it's name as Tart Cherry! All of the Brookside bars are of high quality, and they are presented very well, with an outer casing and sealed foil wrapper within. So you can be assured of freshness. One thing that I haven't made up my mind about was the ever so slightly waxy mouth feel of the chocolate, reminiscent of an American style chocolate over the creamy British or Belgian style that I really prefer. But still tasty nonetheless

This chocolate bar is SCRUMPTIOUS! I couldn't really taste any of the pomegranate, but it was still an incredible treat - the sweet (and not at all bitter) dark chocolate with cherries was divine. I would definitely recommend this to anyone on the hunt for a flavoured gourmet chocolate bar.

I was lucky enough to try this free from ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. Of the 3 flavours I tried this one was my close second favourite. It comes in a pink wrapper inside and has a lovely cherry cordial aroma.
To me it tastes like the chocolate is infused with Maraschino cherry juice, yummy. This I found was a really unique flavour and I can't think of other bars out there that are cherry flavoured, but chocolate and cherry obviously go well together. It's the sweetest dark chocolate I've tasted (never too sweet), not at all bitter like other brands. I would say it almost has the sweetness of milk chocolate minus the creaminess. It melted very smoothly and wasn't gritty or crumbly like some other dark chocolates.
This one has Rice Krispie pieces and small bits of fruit chunk flavour bursts in it. I would say it's a bar that comes with the health benefits of dark chocolate with the high-end indulgence of a fun fruit flavour. It's perfect for picking up for a moment of self-reward/escape to have on a Friday nights, paired with a bottle of wine. Oh, and it would totally fit in to bring with a bottle of wine to a friends house to get the conversation and laughter going.

This was a little tart compared to the others. The chocolate was delicious however. I found it a bit drrier than the others as well. I couldn't taste too much of teh cherry flavor as well. I did not feel I wanted too much of it. I would not buy this one,

These were such a nice sweet surprise. The dark chocolate was rich and yummy. The Tart Cherry Crisp and Pomegranate was definitely my favorite! The bits of fruit were such a nice compliment to the sweet bitterness of the dark chocolate. These would be perfect to enjoy with a glass of red wine. My only wish is that there was more of the fruit bits in the bar, as that was my favorite part. Totally suggest you pick these up and try the other flavors. They were all so good! My boyfriend loved them too!

To say I wasn't sure what I would be tasting with this bar is an understatement. I love both cherry and pomegranate but I couldn't see them together. Well boy was I wrong!!! This is a very unique combination that with chocolate has your taste buds bellowing for more. The chocolate of course as always with Brookside is superior. It melts in your mouth and it holds the flavours together to make a delicious treat. If you have a sweet tooth then this is the bar for you. Your craving will be fulfilled while indulging in this decadent bar. This bar is sweet. I, myself, could only eat two tablets at the most because I found it quite sweet. But, that being said I would highly recommend it because it is really, really good.

I received Brookside Chocolate Tablet Bar in Tart Cherry Crisp with Pomegranate Flavour for free in the mail as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. The first thing I noticed was that the packaging makes it quite easy to save a portion of the bar for later. All you have to do is make sure you open the inside wrapper like a chip bag from the top so that it still covers the surface of the bar, then just place it back in the cardboard outer wrapping. This is especially useful for those of us who try to indulge our chocolate cravings in moderation or are utilizing a portion-control diet management system.

When I first opened the bar, the first smell I noted was that of chocolate and cherry. I did not detect any hints of pomegranate as the packaging suggested. This observation was also present when I tried the bar itself. I could not detect any hint of pomegranate, but that is not to say the bar was not enjoyable. Certainly, the bar tasted akin to eating a good quality chocolate covered cherry (one that presumably has crisp rice pieces) transformed into bar format. The extra bit of crunch the crisp rice provided was a nice touch with the tiny fruit pieces in the bar. The two textures melded well with the smooth chocolate.

Unlike many dark chocolate bars, this one was not particularly bitter, almost having the quality of 50% cocoa as opposed to 70% or higher. If you prefer your dark chocolate strong as noted in bars of 70% cocoa or higher, you may find this bar too sweet to your liking. If you are someone who likes a sweeter bar, closer to middle of the road sort of cocoa content, you will probably enjoy it. You may even like it if you like milk chocolate.

Overall this is a great product but don’t buy it if you are banking on the pomegranate flavor being the predominant sensation for your palate.

I've never been a big fan of dark chocolate, but was told to switch to it by my heart Dr., so being able to try the Brookside dark chocolate has been a great way for me to find something I can really enjoy. I have to say that this was my favourite out of the three we got to try. As soon as you open the package you can smell the cherries and the pomegranate just inviting you to take a bite. I do wish there was more fruit through out the bar, but the fruit it did have helped me to get past the bitterness of the dark chocolate and I actually ate pretty much the whole bar myself. It's at a selling price I would expect to pay for a chocolate bar of this size and quality and it would also make a nice small gift to cheer someone up. I'll be on the look out for this one for sure and I'd tell others to give it a try as well.
