Great For Fish Lovers
I had this for lunch over the weekend, and though it wasn't bad, it was not one of my preferred Brunswick Sadines flavours. As the fish was only covered in water, the taste of the fish really came though, more so than it does with the other flavours, such as tomato sauce.
There is a healthy amount of sardines in each can. Each can contains a good amount of calcium because the bones of the fish are included. The bones can be eaten or crushed into the fish. The texture of the bones is highly noticeable due to the lack of sauce, which I find helps to cover it up.
These cans are individually packed with a easy to open seal, making them portable for lunch. They can be found at most stores for under $2.
Very plain
I have tried dinner Brunswick sardine flavors and this is by far my least favorite. I would not recommend this flavor unless you are a sardine lover (big time!) and only want to taste the flavor of the fish. I find the water did not cover up any of the fish taste and you felt like you could taste when you were eating the bones and the other parts of the fish that are not always the most pleasant. This sort of grossed me out. I would not say it tasted bad at all because I love fish, but it certainly was not as good as other flavors such as in tomato sauce. I don't think I would buy this flavor again. The can comes with a good amount of fish which is a great lunch idea! It is around $1.50 at Walmart which is not super cheap but it's not bad for this healthy lunch.
