This is a decent frozen pizza to have stocked up in the freezer for emergencies if you like the thin crust variety. The flavors are pretty gourmet sounding but so far I've only tried the Funghi Rustico and Spinaci Fresca and both were tasty. I would have preferred the crust to be a little thicker and the pizza a little bigger in diameter but for the sale price I paid them ($2.00), it's okay. I wouldn't pay full price for them though, especially if you have a large family to feed.
I love the Pollo one but last week these were on sale and that was the flavour that was not available. They are a quick lunch if you make them the night before and have they ready to grab as your run out the door.
I love the margherita flavour of these pizzas. The crust is incredibly light and crispy.
Tried the Pepperoni Diavolo one. Nice crispy crust, and the pepperoni had a nice spice to it. On the negatives the red pepper were pretty soggy and it could use more cheese.
I really liked it for the price!
Pollo Toscano was really good, I love the crust, the chicken was good too.
I am not a fan of frozen pizzas, but I really liked this one!
I bought this pizza last week, normally it would be $6.98 but it was half price at a certain store for $3.49 plus I had a $1.00 off coupon so before tax it was only $2.49. We tried it for the first time today. For the price I paid I would definately purchase it again, however I would definately not buy it again at almost $7 a pop. The specific flavor we had was Pollo. The chicken was actually very good & well flavored. The sour dough crust was a nice change from what we usually get. However, even though it wasn't over baked on top or in the center, the outside crust seemed exceptionally crisp. The rest of the toppings weren't really much of anything. It's a shame that they did such a great job with the chicken but the veggies & sauce really lacked flavor. There was also very little cheese compared to our regular frozen pizza brand. However, for the price I paid You Betcha I'd purchase Buitoni Frozen Pizza again!
I recently tried this pizza, as I had gotten a coupon, and it was on sale. I only paid $2.99, which was a steal. This brand of pizza is stone baked, thin crust, sourdough and has great flavor with decent ingredients. I always add additional topping to a store bought pizza, I just find it adds to the end result. I was pleased with this pizza, it's not the best I've had or the worst. This brand sits right in the middle, I may buy again if at a discount price, definitely not worth the full retail price. The pizza was a little on the small side for what I was expecting to get.
But.....
Buitoni brand has been around since 1827, so it must be doing something right. This one is OK for a quick snack fix, but I won't rush out to purchase it again right away, maybe as I said when I can pay what I want to pay, I will buy it again.
I saw the advertisment on TV that Buitoni was an authentic Italian pizza Frozen) and received a $1.00 off coupon from save.ca. So I decided to try it when it came on sale for $4.99. These pizzas are available in 6 recipes and I bought the pepperoni . First they are 9" pizzas that are smaller than most other frozen brands and second they are nothing special as far as taste goes (comparable to Delissio) and third they are more expensive than most brand.
Not worth the extra price!
